INGREDIENTS

The champion of compactness among multi-cutters, takes up very little space, but is capable of much more. Cone skewers have holes all over the skewers, which are fully utilized for slicing or shredding as the skewers spin. The cone shape prevents food from getting stuck in the nozzle.

The multi slicer can make slices and dices. Later models of multi-cutters “learned” to cut in cubes and sticks for French fries , here we have no such functions. But there’s an attachment for slicing potatoes for dumplings – such a peculiar greeting from the French kitchen to our native cuisine.

Each attachment has its own color: full metal with orange rim for fine chopping, red for coarse, yellow for extra fine, light green for fine shredding here it’s slicing in thin circles , light yellow for slicing potatoes for potato-doughnuts. On the side of the appliance, there are helpful icons to help you select the right handle without looking at the instructions. The model provided for the test did not come with a dark green drum for the wavy chopping. Note that the fine grater accessory, which has the heaviest load, is made of metal.

Attachments are stored compactly in a special holder inside the appliance. They collapse into each other, so they take up minimal space and are easy to remove and place. Nice cord storage, too: can be stowed away in the housing.

The guides tell you that the food to be sliced and grated has to be firm and the cheese has to be chilled. A detailed chart shows which product can be processed with which attachment.

Device is activated by a button that must be held down during operation. Small loading opening, long or small fruits – carrots, cucumbers, radishes, thin zucchini – enter entirely. The rest of the products will have to cut, but it can’t be helped – it’s a super-compact device.

A “CONSUMER’S NOTE”

This is the first multi-cutter that appeared on the American market, and one of the first in the world, the Fresh Express technology is patented by the “SEB Group”, which owns the Moulinex brand. Despite this, the design has been adopted simply put, copied by many manufacturers of economy class equipment. And when a model is so massively counterfeited, that’s the first sign of its success.

Interestingly, the manufacturers that have similar models in their range did not provide them for testing, although we invited them. One of them commented on the rejection as “Not sure about the quality.”. Well, it is not difficult to copy the design, it is more difficult to ensure the quality of workmanship, reliability of parts, safety of materials. Well, we’re dealing with the original. The model is even assembled in France.

BIG TREATMENT

Making a radish and cucumber salad. It was more of a fine julienne, so the red drum is a julienne cutter, not a grater. Cutting fruits and vegetables into fine julienne strips by hand is a long and tiresome task, and many recipes for soups and salads require exactly this form.

SMALL THREADER

Grated orange carrots in an all-metal drum with an orange rim. I must say that we liked the shape of the finished product more than what we get with the manual grater. It’s somehow more refined, like restaurant food.

FINE SHREDDING

In the manual, this word means slicing in circles. You can use it to make Greek salad. In general it has the widest application: peppers, beets, zucchini and zucchini, potatoes, cabbage, apples, Gruyere cheese.

We chopped zucchini and zucchini for side dishes, it was very fast. Thanks to the narrow inlet opening, long pieces of fruit stand up straight and the circles are round instead of elongated.

SUPER FINE GRATER

Designed to grind nuts, parmesan, chocolate, breadcrumbs – everything a mini grinder or regular coffee grinder is used for. Grated almonds – it worked. Wish we’d stocked up on parmesan!

DRENNIKI GRATER

It turns out the right consistency of potato mass – and in our test group turned out to be connoisseurs who lived in Minsk and know a lot about “broth. Only pity we don’t have a frying pan and stove in the test room. The test ended with the pathetic question of a woman from Minsk: “What about the pancakes??”
