It looks like the most unusual multi-cutter, but its features are not standard either.

Firstly, it is one of the few machines on the market and the only multi-cutter that can dice.

Secondly, the set has an attachment for making half-fries – also not often seen.

Thirdly, unusual and the storage system: they are compactly mounted on each other and stored in the case, while it looks multi-cutter bright, elegant, stylish, such “thing” does not even want to remove after use.

The installation of nozzles is not difficult, but to pull the correct cassette from the “stack”, it was first hard work – and all because you did not look at the instructions. And there the process itself is drawn: it is facilitated by a cleaning brush, which has a handle for easy disconnection of the attachments from the storage unit.

The start button needs to be held during operation, but it was not difficult. This system puts you in perfect control of the process. The device selects the speed automatically, depending on the selected nozzle. But the choice of nozzles is an interesting thing. The Moulinex multipurpose chopper comes in different colors, green for slicing and shredding, orange for slicing and red for dicing, and yellow for slicing and shredding fries.

Helpful tip icons on the side of the device to help you select the right attachment – very handy. In the manual we found a pretty detailed table with instructions on what to cut and with what attachment. We were surprised that it is suggested to cut boiled sausage in thin slices and not cubes. Ah, the French! What they know about doctor sausage and olivier?!

I must say that the table was not very useful to us: for example, it does not say how to cut a radish we cut thin slices , and does not say that the onion and celery can be cut into cubes, but we did it – and everything was fine.

I would like to note the large size of the feeder – 75×51 mm, which allows you to put many products whole, and the rest – in large pieces. The utensils are up to 15 cm high – so you can use not only plates and pans, but also salad bowls and sauté pans.

The electric cord is inside the body of the multi-cutter: there are few appliances on the small equipment market that have such a convenient cable storage system.

FINE GRATER AND COARSE SHREDDER

The attachments are called “for fine and coarse shredding”, but they are the real grates. They do a great job we grated carrots , but the fine grater is very, very fine – for the sake of your taste. Basically, it can be used to grate potatoes for the potato pancakes.

The table suggests finely and coarsely chopping beets, celery, cucumbers, zucchini yes, for pancakes – very even! , coconut, cheese and apples. For us it was strange that this list does not include white and red cabbage – but what about the borscht and salads? You can cut it into thin slices, but it is too big.

THIN SLICES

Chopped the radishes – we liked the result, but still 3 mm thick slices, not so small. I would like real thin and tender “petals”. But it turns out quickly, after all radishes are hard vegetable, besides it’s small: cutting them with a knife is tiresome.

CARTO-FREE

The slices came out very straight, the length depends on the length of the potatoes, but the thickness of 6×7 mm is just right. The nozzle is yellow, so it immediately reminds you of its function. However, you can use it to cut carrots for carrot sticks and almost any vegetables for side dishes: eggplants, zucchini, peppers. Cube-shaped bars are great for grilling these veggies.

CUBITS

Of course, this particular attachment – for dicing – was quickly beloved by the entire test group. By the time of testing it was Lent, so we made a great salad, similar to Olivier, only more flavorful and without meat.

It includes boiled potatoes, boiled carrots, onions, apples, and celery stalks. I must say that this is the only attachment in the three tested devices, which properly dealt with onions – not crushed, not squeezed the juice, but exactly chopped although the amazing table does not know that you can do so! .

The rest of the cubes turned out pretty smooth and nice, and most importantly – the “basin” of salad was ready in a couple of minutes.
