New York, December 13, 2016: Lenovo is proud to announce that the Moto Z smartphones, updated to Android 7, are the first third-party mobile gadgets officially recognized by Google as ready for the Daydream VR virtual reality platform. Daydream VR was introduced by Google in May this year, and the first Daydream View virtual reality glasses were officially released on November 10, 2016. At the same time, the corporation released a new mobile operating system Android 7.1 Nougat with support for Daydream VR platform.

To date, only two lines of smartphones meet the software and hardware requirements for compatibility with the Daydream VR platform and Daydream View glasses. These are Googleā€™s own models, the Pixel and Pixel XL, as well as the Moto Z.
