More affordable Hi-Fi from Astell&Kern – the new AK70 is available now!

. This entry in the series of junior models of portable Hi-Fi players of the famous Korean brand. In terms of functionality the novelty occupies a niche between the players AK JR and AK300, and by design AK70 is a unique gadget, which is sure to find fans among lovers of high quality sound.

Playback of audio encoded up to 24-bit/192 kHz and DSD studio format supported with PCM down-conversion. The player uses a single DAC – CS4398 from CirrusLogic, as well as 64 GB of internal memory. The device has both a standard and a balanced headphone output, as well as a digital output for USB D/A converter and USB-audio.

AK70 is the first Astell&Kern player that supports audio output through the USB port. You can connect a variety of portable amplifiers to AK70 via USB output. The player can broadcast records in native DSD using DoP technology. The DSD to PCM conversion is used to connect those portable amplifiers that do not have DoP support.

AK70 supports wireless network connection between computer, network player, mobile devices and other Astell&Kern players. This configuration allows you to search for audio files on external media and play music from there, using the Hi-Fi player. In addition, the AK70 is compatible with the Astell & Kern CD ripper, which allows you to copy music from CDs with ease when using these devices together.

AK70 is designed with a beveled corner on one side of the casing, so the resulting notch fits the contour of your thumb, as it is most often used to operate the player with one hand.

The volume knob is designed to slightly protrude from the concave surface so that the user can control the sound with a simple slide of the finger up/down.

Slim, 132 grams, 13mm thick, this palm-sized gadget is easy to take with you everywhere.

AK70 has a light mint colored anodized aluminum case that makes the player look very elegant. The sleek looks along with the original color are perfect for everyday use.

The player is already available in stores, its approximate retail price is 47 000 Dollars.
