The lightweight, portable Hercules Universal DJ is 40 x 23 cm and weighs only 1.5 kg. Among other features, it offers two non-touch discs with no force recognition, six EQ potentiometers and two sets of eight panels each with four different modes effect/sample/cycle/cue mark . In addition, the console is equipped with audio interface that allows you to connect a headset for pre-listening and speakers for broadcasting your mix. Optional stereo input allows you to connect your smartphone or tablet for instant access to playlists in online music streaming services, as well as adding EQ effects or samples.
The Hercules Universal DJ product line allows you to connect any touch screen gadget, so the DJ can move away from the computer and enjoy all the fine nuances of his mix when he is on the floor and in the thick of the action. The new product offers three modes of connection and mixing: using Mac/PC and DJUCEDā¢ 40Ā° app using a computer paired with a mobile device and DJUCEDā¢ Master app and using a tablet and DJUCEDā¢ App installed on it.
The DJUCEDā¢ Master app and My Remote plug-in turns your smartphone or tablet into a fully functional wireless controller. The DJ can move freely around the dance floor and even offer party guests to try their hand at mixing, while still retaining control of all track transitions. Crossfader, playback, individual track volume, track synchronization, and more. And if the DJ got distracted from the mix and didnāt have time to think over the transition, the PANIC button will help: it will automatically find and start the next best track. In addition, the DJUCEDā¢ Master app on a second touchscreen device lets you create loops and effects combinations previously only available on professional equipment.
The DJUCEDā¢ 40Ā° program for PC and Mac will also deliver exclusive features. Before the party, the DJ can publish a playlist and invite guests to vote on specific tracks. All you need to do is use the web app, which can be used for free from any connected device. The software also lets you adjust your playlist in real time by displaying a list of the most popular tracks on the DJās mobile device and automatically changing the list according to the number of votes. In addition, party guests can send track requests and messages to the DJ directly from their mobile devices.
