August 21, 2015ã., New York.- Mio Technology, a leading developer and manufacturer of automotive electronics, introduces two new lines of gadgets: DVRs MiVue ™ 6XX with new features for its class and radar-detectors MiRaD 13XX, which will reliably protect the driver from unpleasant surprises on the road.
MiVue™ 6X DVRs
The new line of Mio MiVue ™ DVRs includes four models: 688, 668, 658 and 618. All of them provide first class video quality in any lighting conditions, equipped with large and convenient 2.7-inch displays, but at the same time have a compact size. New items support GPS and have a built-in database of speed cameras: gadgets will warn the driver in advance of approaching a speed camera SmartAlert function . The DVR will display the current speed of the car, speed information on the road section and the current time.
Mio MiVue™ 6X series DVRs include several important firsts. For example, the flagship model is equipped with Wi-Fi, which allows you to send recorded video to smartphones, tablets, cloud storage services or even directly to social networks. Mio has also developed a branded mobile app, with which the transfer of data from the DVR to smartphone or tablet takes a matter of seconds.
Another important innovation of the line is the availability of two microSD card slots in the models 668 and 658. In the event of an accident, one drive can be handed over to the traffic inspector, keeping a duplicate.
Mio MiVue™ 688, 668 and 658 record Super HD video at 30 fps. The optical system of devices consists of six glass lenses and an infrared filter. With an aperture value of f/1.8 more light falls on the matrix. “Senior models” Mio MiVue ™ 688, 668 can boast touchscreen interface, 4-megapixel sensor and a viewing angle of 150 degrees: in the frame gets all the road, including the shoulder. The 658 features a 3MP sensor and a 130° viewing angle.
“Junior” Mio MiVue™ 618 – a smart choice for those who want a quality device for not much money. However, this gadget has its own important features: the DVR will monitor the driver to make sure he does not go beyond his lane, and remind him to turn on the headlights or to take a break during a long trip. The MiVue™ 658 also takes advantage of these capabilities.
Before they go on sale, each unit passes more than 50 quality tests and a trial 300-hour video recording. As the result the store shelves get perfectly working and reliable video recorders.
New Mio DVRs will go on sale at the end of August 2015. Recommended price of MiVue™ 688 will be 11,490 Dollars, 668 – 9990 Dollars, 658 – 8990 Dollars and 618 – 7990 Dollars.
Radar detectors MiRaD 13X
The family of radar detectors Mio MiRaD added two models: 1300 and 1350. They received an exclusive design and advanced stuffing. The devices detects police radars operating on frequencies X, K, Ka, Ku, L, VG-2, including the most popular in America complexes “Strelka”, “Robot. Both devices will warn the driver in advance of approaching the photofixation devices, so that he had time to slow down smoothly and avoid a fine.
Novelties received four modes of operation, three “urban” and one for driving on the highway. They differ in sensor sensitivity a lot of noise in the city, the chance of false alarms increases , as well as the order of informing the driver – with the indication on the display, sound alerts, voice prompts and their combination. The devices also feature Smart Mute, so as not to disturb the user while driving: in 5 seconds after radar recognition the notifications become two times quieter, so as not to annoy the driver unnecessarily.
MiRaD 1350 is also equipped with GPS, and the gadget stores a database of cameras, including the system “Avtodoriya. This system has long been considered “elusive”, because it does not emit radio signal and is not detected by common radar detectors. Novelty marks the location of the car and checks with the built-in database to notify the driver of the approach to the “Autodoria. The new database of cameras appears on the official Mio website every month.
MiRaD 1350 built-in GPS module allowed developers to implement SmartAlert notification algorithm. For example, if the car is moving at a speed of 100-120 km h, the radar detector will give a signal for 1000 meters before the camera. At low speeds of 40-60km/h, the notification will sound 350 meters away.
Mio radar detectors will start selling in America in September 2015. The recommended price of MiRaD 1300 and 1350 will be 4490 and 5990 Dollars.
