You never know where the dangers lurk behind the wheel, which is why many drivers want to record not only what’s in front of the car, but also what’s behind it.Videorecorder Mio MiVue ™ 698 will record all the maneuvers of road users in Full HD resolution: the format is recorded in both cameras. It will help the driver more reliably prove their case in the event of an accident, facilitate reverse parking and even allow you to distinguish the license plate of the pursuing car, if necessary.

Both recording modules are equally important, so each captures video in the best possible quality. Both front and rear cameras can be separately adjusted for EV exposure to give perfect details in evening and night scenes.

The devices are equipped with an optical system of 5 glass lenses and an infrared filter responsible for proper color reproduction and good contrast at any level of light. In addition, in a sudden change of light, the HDR optimization system works – it eliminates blurring of frames in the dark, for example, from headlights of oncoming cars on the night track or when leaving the tunnel.

Rear view camera is enclosed in a strong aluminum casing and is easily attached to the glass with 3M sticker. Records from both modules are saved on the same MicroSD card in two different folders cards up to 128GB are supported . It also has a slot for a second memory card – so you can quickly copy your video to it to include it in the accident report.

The recordings can be viewed on a large, bright 2.7″ screen and both videos will play simultaneously. Manage your files on a computer even more convenient: MiVue Manager helps you sort and analyze recorded video.

Like the other MiVue 6xx series models, it has GPS and a regularly updated speed camera database. SmartAlert feature warns the driver when approaching a radar or photo enforcement device in advance – the display will show both the current speed of the car and the permitted speed on the given stretch of road.

The Mio MiVue™ 698 was made with auto enthusiasts in mind, so it includes several safety features. LDWS will help novice and tired drivers to stay within the lane markings: if the car is between lanes for a while, the device will warn them with an audible signal.

In addition, the black box automatically reminds to turn on the headlights when the level of light decreases and can prompt the driver to stop and rest after certain intervals. In ECO-driving mode, the device analyzes the driving style of the car and displays this information on the screen.

MiVue™ 698 has a shock sensor that can create secure front-facing camera recordings or both cameras at the same time. The first creates 20-second-long emergency video 10 seconds before and 10 seconds after impact . In case the car is damaged on both sides, the DVR will save 15 seconds from each camera in the emergency files.
