Mio MiVue 616: two important functions in one device

Mio Technology, a leading international developer and manufacturer of automotive electronics, introduces the new Mio MiVue 616 DVR. This device has an expanded set of functions: it is not limited to one video recording.

The new Mio DVR monitors the road using both the camera and the built-in GPS receiver, which determines the speed and coordinates of the car. MiVue 616 stores a GPS database of stationary police speed cameras. If the device detects a car approaching one of these systems, the driver will hear a signal, and the faster the car is moving, the earlier the warning will come. Databases are regularly updated and if you spot a brand-new speed camera, you can add it to your recorder’s memory easily.

Full HD 1920×1080 on the road at 30 fps. These parameters provide a clear and smooth picture in all conditions. On filmed MiVue 616 frames you can see the smallest details, down to the license plate numbers in the far side lane, and the video is recorded without tearing or jumps. In cases where you need to reconstruct the course of events at the scene of an accident, this is especially important.

Viewing angle of the new DVR is 140 °, which is enough to “capture” in the frame all the necessary, but to avoid severe distortion of the picture at the edges. Day and night modes change automatically and WDR wide dynamic range shooting is used to record in tricky conditions, such as dusk and sunlight.

Activation of the recording is automatic as soon as the owner starts the car. If you want, you can turn it on manually, as well as set the motion detection function, which will follow the car in the parking lot. As soon as any movement is detected in the frame, the device will start shooting.

It’s a great insurance policy against dishonest neighbors: if someone accidentally bumps into a parked car and drives off, the incident still gets noticed. If the incident happens on the road, it will trigger the G-sensor and give a command to move the important recording to a special indelible folder. Moreover, a collision or any other contact with the car is not necessary to activate the G-sensor: the sensor reacts even to sudden shifts and emergency braking.

All current information such as vehicle speed, camera warnings, recording indicator, etc. – 2.7-inch screen of the device. MiVue 616 is equipped with a handy rotating mount that allows you to rotate it by 360 ° – it may be useful, for example, to record a conversation with a traffic officer.

Mio MiVue 616 is already available for sale, the recommended retail price of new items is 6990 Dollars.
