Mini review of Kyocera FS-2100D/ FS-2100DN/ FS-4100DN/ FS-4200DN/ FS-4300DN monochrome laser printers

In the middle of November 2012. Kyocera Document Solutions has announced the launch of a new family of A4 printers with printing speeds ranging from 40 to 60 pages per minute. Five new printer models – FS-4300DN, FS-4200DN, FS-4100DN, FS-2100DN and FS-2100D – have the lowest typical energy consumption TEC and the lowest cost per page in their class. All models traditionally use durable components, and the drum in the models FS-4300DN, FS-4200DN and FS-4100DN is designed for printing up to 500 000 pages.

The new family has significantly reduced typical power consumption, and the FS-4300DN model, with 60 ppm, has a lower typical power consumption than competitors’ 40 ppm devices. Lower power consumption reduces costs as well as CO2 emissions. New generation of printers uses technology used in the model FS-4020DN, which won the “BLI Choice of the Year Award” in 2009. and BLI awards for outstanding energy efficiency in 2011.

The new drum with a printing life of up to 500,000 pages represents the next step in the development of Kyocera Ecosys technology, which has become synonymous with durability. Use of long-life components as standard to provide Kyocera printers with the lowest cost per page, a significant factor in high volume printing.

Some printing requires additional security as only authorized persons have access to confidential information. For this reason, all printers of the new Kyocera family support secure printing as standard. Additional card-based identification capability provides for even greater security.

Duplex printing module comes standard. All models except junior FS-2100D have Gigabit Ethernet. The manufacturer has equipped the models with high-capacity toner cartridges: 12 500 pages TK-3100 for FS-2100 D/DN, 15 500 pages TK-3110 for FS-4100DN, 25 000 TK-3130 for FS-4200DN and FS-4300DN.

Can anyone provide a clear comparison between the Kyocera FS-2100D, FS-2100DN, FS-4100DN, FS-4200DN, and FS-4300DN monochrome laser printers? I’m looking for the key differences and advantages of each model to determine which one would be the best fit for my needs. Any input or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Sure! I can provide a comparison of the Kyocera monochrome laser printers you mentioned. The FS-2100D is a basic model with duplex printing, while the FS-2100DN adds network connectivity. The FS-4100DN has a faster print speed and larger paper capacity than the FS-2100 series. The FS-4200DN offers even faster printing speeds and higher paper capacity. Finally, the FS-4300DN is the top-of-the-line model with the fastest print speeds, highest paper capacity, and advanced security features. Consider your printing needs, such as volume and speed requirements, to determine which model is the best fit for you. Personal experiences with these printers may vary, so it’s a good idea to read reviews from other users as well.
