Microwave recipes: stuffed mushrooms

Stuffed mushrooms are as good hot as they are cold. There is a wide variety of fillings. You can make assorted mushrooms stuffed with different fillings.

You will need

Built-in microwave oven

Fresh champignons with medium-sized caps – 10-12 pcs., or 500 g

For stuffing with walnuts and cheese

Half a cup of peeled and chopped walnut kernels

3 Sts. l. grated cheese

For the ham and cheese stuffing

Chopped ham – 100 g

Chopped parsley greens – 5 g

Parsley greens – a bunch 10 g for decoration

Season with salt, black pepper – to taste

Precautions

1. Rinse the mushrooms with cold water, place them in a glass pan so that the stems are facing the center and the caps are facing the edges of the pan. Cover with the lid. Cook for 3-5 minutes on medium-high power or in the automatic vegetable program. After the cooking time signal, shake the pot and leave the mushrooms under the lid for 5 minutes to “rest”. Cool. Cut off the stalks of the mushrooms with a thin knife, leaving only the caps. Sprinkle salt and pepper on the caps.

2. Prepare the filling: mix the grated cheese with walnuts or chopped ham with the herbs depending on the chosen filling.

3. Fill the recesses at the bottom of the mushroom caps with the stuffing. Fill tightly. Keep in mind that the walnut-cheese filling will melt the cheese when cooked and the volume of the filling will decrease.

4. Place the stuffed mushroom caps in a glass dish of appropriate size so that they fit together snugly. Cover and microwave on medium-high power for 3 to 4 minutes. After the buzzer sounds, remove the lid and make sure no condensed moisture drips from the lid get on the mushrooms and make the cheese filling soft.

5. Plate the stuffed champignons and decorate with the sprigs of herbs.

Total cooking time: 20 min.

These microwave recipes for stuffed mushrooms look incredibly delicious! However, I’m wondering if the texture of the mushrooms would turn out as desired, as microwaving can sometimes make them a bit soggy. Has anyone tried these recipes before and experienced any issues with the texture of the mushrooms?
