The rugged D780 features a fast dedicated Hybrid AF system for Live view photography, as well as a fast and reliable 51-point Phase Detection AF system for viewfinder photography. When shooting in Live View, photographers and cameramen benefit from the same AF system found in Nikon’s acclaimed Z 6 mirrorless camera. Eye recognition AF can lock on to human eyes, you can also activate AF in low light and desensitise to -6 EV. Viewfinder photographers will benefit from flagship tracking performance and quick switching between enhanced AF modes.
High-speed continuous shooting makes this camera even more versatile: Get up to 7 frames per second with the viewfinder or 12 frames per second with silent photography in Live view.
