LG Electronics LG is presenting at IFA 2013 new models with an increased capacity of up to 12 kg, as well as new washer-dryers with eco-hybrid technology. The washing machines with the largest capacity in their category feature “6 Motion Care” and TrueSteam technologies for efficient and gentle washing. LG’s 12-kilogram washing machines use 40 percent less energy than the manufacturer’s other A-rated models+++. What’s more, the new washer-dryers are equipped with innovative eco-hybrid technology that provides air-drying operation, in addition to conventional modes. Every setting has been carefully designed to provide significant energy, water and time savings.

Advanced technology LG “6 movements of care” 6 Motion is the six different algorithms of rotation of the drum, the maximum adapted to different types of fabrics, which provides an effective washing and gentle treatment of even the most delicate fabrics. Inverter direct drive motor Inverter Direct Drive , which all LG washing machines have, provides reliable performance, as well as minimum noise and vibrations. LG confirms the durability and reliability of this motor with a 10-year warranty, and the German VDE[1] has assessed and certified the durability of the Direct Drive system for 20 years.
LG front-loading washing machines also feature LG’s unique TrueSteam steam technology, which supports a special “Freshen up” program. Uses steam instead of water to remove light creases and odors from laundry, reaching perfect clean in just 20 minutes. Furthermore, TrueSteam technology helps to eliminate allergens, vermin and detergent residues that can cause allergies as well as respiratory and skin diseases. LG Steam Washing Machine’s effectiveness in removing allergens is certified by the British Allergy Foundation and the American Association of Pediatric Allergologists and Immunologists ADAIR .
Eco-hybrid washer-dryers
LG eco-hybrid washing machines with integrated drying function are able to function in air drying mode, in addition to the normal mode, while most dryers can only operate in one of them. Each of these convenient and efficient options provides an A-level energy efficiency. Compared to ordinary LG dryer modes, the powerful air drying mode can save users up to 7,000 liters of water per year.[2]
LG’s full-size eco-hybrid washing machines with integrated drying function boast a load capacity of 12kg for washing and 8kg for drying, effectively reducing the frequency of washing by about 91 times a year.[3] Furthermore, LG’s innovative Dual Ball equaliser and damping system technologies are designed to keep the balance and reduce noise from internal vibrations.

Eco-hybrid dryers LG offer two modes of operation: eco-friendly and speed, allowing the user to choose the best mode of energy and time saving. Using advanced heat pump technology, eco-friendly drying mode provides energy class A+++. The speed mode is also very energy-efficient and complies with Class A, requiring 30% less time to complete the cycle. Ideal for delicate garments, the Eco-Hybrid dryer operates even at low temperatures, reducing the risk of fabric damage and shrinkage.
These advanced dryers also feature the unique Auto Cleaning system, which cleans the dryer condenser up to seven times per cycle on its own. Designed for regular use, this durable system optimizes energy consumption as well as improves drying efficiency. Moreover, it also reduces the risk of fiber buildup on the condenser.
