LG Electronics LG will unveil a new phase of smart kitchen development at CES 2019. The agreement with Drop, developer of the Drop KitchenOS platform, made it possible to integrate the kitchen appliances into a smart home system.
By working more closely with a new partner, LG offers consumers a wide range of smart kitchen options for customers with a variety of preferences.
LGâs âsmart kitchenâ includes ovens, refrigerators and dishwashers. Working together, they make both food preparation and dishwashing easier.
One step to increase the flexibility of using cooking recipes in todayâs kitchen was LGâs inclusion of the XBOOM AI ThinQ WK9 smart display in the family of devices it uses. Equipped with powerful stereo speakers and built-in AI, the display can be controlled contactlessly and easily through the personal assistant Google Assistant. The 8-inch touchscreen can display thousands of smart, personalized recipes from Innit.
At CES 2019, LG is also introducing the LG HomeBrew brewer, which will join a family of smart kitchen appliances that includes the InstaView ThinQ refrigerator and QuadWash dishwasher.
LG customers enjoying the benefits of a smart kitchen will be able to enjoy cold drinks while viewing recipes on the built-in refrigerator screen. After selecting a dish, recipe data can be sent to the oven, which will heat to the desired temperature on its own. After cooking, the ovenâs EasyClean function will help remove any food residue that may have gotten on its interior surface. Finally, the same smart recipe service will tell the QuadWash dishwasher the optimal settings for flawlessly cleaning the dishes and cutlery used during the meal.
