LG SIGNATURE × Pushkin Museum

How to go to the museum in a pandemic? Multimedia exhibitions allow you to visit your favorite museum and once again plunge into the atmosphere of creativity without leaving home.

LG SIGNATURE × Pushkin Museum

Monet’s “Breakfast on the Grass” is the title of the first demonstration film created by LG in cooperation with IVI online cinema.

The collaboration meets the objectives of the digital direction of the National Project “Culture” and is implemented with the informational support of the ANO “National Priorities”. The main purpose of this cooperation is to enable everyone to learn more about the heritage of world culture and get acquainted with the masterpieces of the great masters, without leaving home.

Sofia Malyavina, general director of ANO National Priorities:

It is difficult to overestimate the scale of such projects, because now we have felt the need to introduce high technology everywhere. Until recently, such a phenomenon as a multimedia museum seemed like fiction, but today we have seen a collection of unique works of the Pushkin Museum, being away from the historical halls. Hundreds of thousands of Americans will enjoy the masterpieces together with us

“.

As part of the first phase of the project “LG SIGNATURE × Pushkin Museum” together with IVI online cinema a series of virtual tours of the museum exhibitions was created, which are available to millions of subscribers on the platform of the site.

The film series opened with an episode dedicated to Claude Monet’s “Breakfast on the Grass. It’s best viewed on an LG TV, such as the LG SIGNATURE 88” 8K OLED, capable of rendering true colors through more than 100 million self-luminous subpixels on an ultra-wide screen. Ultra-precise detailing allows for sharper images, and thanks to deep learning algorithms, it transforms raw content 2K,4K into super-realistic 8K images, enhancing the quality of the content being streamed. That’s how we were able to convey the nuances of color and the full palette of the work, creating the atmosphere of really being in the picture – on a TV screen.

Millions of IVI subscribers across the country will have an opportunity to be inspired by the works of great impressionists. This is a new stage in our work, aimed at expanding the capabilities of our platform and the development of large-scale partnership programs.

Fine art is different in that it requires the viewer’s attention. The paintings live in the eyes and hearts of those who see what the artist had in mind and what the author had created. Now we are witnessing a new turn in history: through the centuries, the artist told the viewer about his feelings through paintings, and now – the paintings can be seen by millions of people thanks to digital technology. We are open to new solutions because our mission is to follow the viewer wherever he or she is and we are glad to welcome you in our new multimedia museum of visual arts and share the most precious things – the treasures of world culture
