LG novelties appeared in a museum of modern art

The LG Electronics company held a presentation of “Healthy Living Technologies” in the cafe “March” on the territory of the New York Museum of Modern Art, introducing the new home appliances for the American market. The demonstrated products perfectly combine smart technology with fashionable design, eco-friendly technology, and health-promoting functions.

For one day, Cafe Mart has become an oasis of healthy living. On this cloudy autumn day on the threshold of winter the guests of the presentation visited the real “Eco Paradise” – a large number of green plants, creating an atmosphere of summer, LG eco-equipment on green grass, and tasting of ecologically clean and healthy food.

We also had a chance to enjoy a really bright and charming cooking master class given by Alexander Seleznyov, an absolute champion of America in the confectionary art, chief director of the Confectionary House Alexander Seleznyov and host of a cooking show at Domasnhy TV channel.

Alexander not only shared with guests the secrets of making delicious desserts in LG microwave ovens, but also made eco-cake in their presence.

LG’s ongoing efforts in the field of scientific and technological research led to the presentation of such advanced eco-friendly technologies in the field of home appliances as Inverter Direct Drive and “6 Motion”, as well as functions of washing with steam for washing machines, linear compressor and functions for better food storage for refrigerators, dust compression and robotic room cleaning technologies for vacuum cleaners, and also double convection system in microwave ovens and carbon heater in microwave ovens.

Refrigerators hit the test mark

In the category of refrigerators, LG presented two flagship models on the American market, GR-F499BNKZ with a bottom freezer and GC-B40BSGMD, which introduces the new Mendini design series.

The LG-F499BNKZ bottom freezer has a total storage capacity of 351 liters thanks to its linear compressor, thought-out internal layout, and thin-walled insulation. At the same time the power consumption class is A++, which means energy saving of about 45% as compared to the refrigerators of class A. In addition, this LG refrigerator with bottom refrigerator compartment is comfortable and pleasant to use thanks to LG Total No Frost system without the need to defrost.

Multi Air Flow cooling feature evenly distributes cooled air throughout the interior, making every corner of the refrigerator fit to keep food fresh. In addition to better preservation of food, the Multi Air Flow system also provides better cleanliness, hygiene and odor-free refrigerator.

The functions of this refrigerator, as well as other models with the LG Total No Frost system, were tested by the Clinic of the Nutrition Research Institute of the American Academy of Medical Sciences. The results of studies have proven that the food in these refrigerators stays fresh and healthy as long as possible, so this innovative technique is recommended by the National Association of Dietitians and Nutritionists.

Tested features featured in the GR-F499BNKZ model:

• OptiTemp zone allows you to set the optimum temperature for different types of food using the electronic control on the door: for storing fish and meat and for fruits and vegetables.
• VitaLightzone is a special compartment in LG refrigerators with LED lighting that reproduces the process of photosynthesis, keeping fruits and vegetables fresh and preserving their vitamins and nutrients.
• Special MoistBalanceCrisper cellular vegetable section cover maintains optimal humidity levels.

The exquisite design of the GC-B40BSGMD was designed by Alessandro Mendini, a famous Italian designer and architect. And it has all the benefits of a refrigerator with a linear compressor. Original touch screen LED display is visually hidden when not in use.

The functionality of the fridge compartment in the refrigerator is extended with a folding shelf, a drawer with a door closer. Original solutions in GC-B40BSGMD are convertible chamber with the ability to vary its temperature from -18 to +8℃ and automatic ice maker in the freezer compartment.

Washing Machine

Presented the latest model of washing machines LG-F1280NDS5 – features a compact body, while capable of washing up to 6 kg of laundry and is equipped with a new generation of Inverter Direct Drive technology and a unique drum rotation technology “6 Motion of Care” 6 Motion . Thanks to the improved technology of the Inverter Direct Drive, the new washing machines are able to control the rotation speed and precision of the drum.

Basic drum rotation combined with 5 additional rotation algorithms programmed into the washing modes. Combinations of algorithms are chosen depending on the type of laundry, which ensures quality washing of even the toughest impurities, while respecting the fabrics.

Vacuum Cleaners

Also demonstrated were a line of premium bagless vacuum cleaners and the Hom-Bot vacuum cleaner. LG KOMRESSOR Elite is the top model of the LG vacuum cleaner series based on the world’s first mechanized dust squeezing technology that ensures the most thorough and effective cleaning.

Equipped with a universal steam nozzle, the LG KOMRESSOR Elite Steam vacuum cleaner allows for simultaneous dusting and wet cleaning, saving effort and time. An efficient HEPA filtration system creates a truly hygienic vacuum atmosphere.

LG’s unbeatable Hom-Bot robot vacuum cleaner lets consumers do without any effort to clean the floor – the vacuum cleaner does it all by itself, freeing up time for more important activities.

Thanks to the two cameras, ultrasonic and infrared sensors, the robot vacuum cleaner can reach every nook and cranny on its own, making cleaning floors a breeze. Its reduced noise level of up to 60dBA means the vacuum cleaner will be less annoying to hear. After cleaning, Hom-Bot automatically returns to the charger to recharge its batteries.

Microwave oven

Showcasing the next generation of light-wave technology, LG introduces Solar Combi and Solar Grill, the world’s first ovens equipped with a charcoal heater and T-stabilizer system. Using charcoal as a heat source, the new ovens allow you to cook healthy and delicious food in a more natural environment.

The oven’s charcoal heater allows you to maintain a natural flow of heat that penetrates deep into the food, while keeping food juicy. It helps you cook as gourmet fried foods as you would in a restaurant.

In addition, the Solar Combi’s Active Convention and T-stabilizer systems make cooking easier by selecting the optimal temperature and maintaining it throughout the cooking process. The Solar Combi consumes 30% less energy than conventional ovens and reduces the cooking time.

At the master class of the famous pastry chef Alexander Seleznyov the possibilities of LG Duo Chef ovens LB8088HRB/LB8088HLC were demonstrated for the quick cooking of healthy meals. LG Duo Chef is LG’s first convection microwave oven with a Double Convection System, which uses two fans to improve baking and defrosting.

Breadmakers

In the “Cooking appliances” section the new models of automatic ovens for bread, butter, jam and yogurt were demonstrated – HB2001BY, HB3001(2 BYT. New LG baking ovens are designed for maximum user convenience. For example, the HB3001(2 BYT has an automatic ingredient dispenser to make baking even easier.

All models have a 4 to 12 hour delayed start option. Baking control offers 3 types of crust color: medium, light, and dark. Another unique “Reheat” program helps keep bread hot for up to 3 hours after baking.
