By means of HomeChat users can “communicate” with LG air conditioner, using the popular free messenger LINE, installed on their cell phones. For example, a user can send the text “Leaving the office, cool down to 26 degrees” and LG air conditioner will calculate by itself when it should start and what speed to set the fan in order to reach the desirable temperature when the user comes home. With 310 million users worldwide, LINE messenger is available on all major smartphone platforms: Android, iPhone, Windows Phone, BlackBerry and Nokia Asha, as well as on desktops and laptops running Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X.

“Smart home air conditioners are a completely new product category, not yet known in many markets. That’s why we are so happy to be pioneers in this field,” said Hwan-yong Nho, President of LG AirConditioning and Energy Solution. – “Using an LG air conditioner with HomeChat function, there is no need to learn new commands or buy another remote control, because everything you need is already available on your smartphone or tablet.”.

The new LG Whisen residential air conditioner is also equipped with a lot of new technologies, which are absent on other LG residential air conditioners. At the top of the list is LG Natural Aroma technology, which provides a whole new level of user comfort. Natural Aroma soothes the senses by using scents, lighting and sounds to create a relaxing atmosphere when the air conditioner is running.

Additional features of LG’s innovative air conditioner:

The “Home Alarm” function sends a notification to a user’s smart phone if the air conditioner detects movement in the home when the user is away such as during vacation or an extended business trip

Ice Cool Power function together with the unique 4D airflow technology creates the coolest airflow possible – four degrees lower in record time. This feature cools the room even faster than before

A built-in motion-responsive camera monitors the user’s body position and temperature, adjusting the air conditioner’s operation to the user

The Super Ion Generator function and the four-level filtration system eliminate the smallest dust particles, aeroallergens and unpleasant smells
