LG Hom-Bot Square robot vacuum cleaner entertained CES-2013 attendees

Las Vegas, January 2013. – LG Electronics company LG presented its newest robotic vacuum cleaner with a square design in the format of the most creative show at the International Exhibition of Consumer Electronics CES-2013, held from 8 to 11 January 2013. Las Vegas.

LG’s perfectly trained Hom-Bot Square troupe performed their incredible agility in a perfectly choreographed dance during certain hours of the show. On top of its superior maneuverability, Hom-Bot Square delivers improved cleaning performance with a new design from LG – the Corner Master. This advanced feature set includes advanced sensors, longer brushes, and a squared shape body, allowing it to reach the hardest-to-reach places regular robot vacuums can’t. Ultrasonic and infrared sensors detect even transparent obstructions, and Dual Eye 2 cameras.0 vacuum cleaner scans the room and make an accurate plan of the room, even in low light.

LG Hom-Bot cleans efficiently, thanks to the Corner Master with two extra-long side brushes, corner detection and the unique shape of its body. Square design and upgraded brushes, which extend 1.5cm, allow the Hom-Bot Square to pick up dust and dirt from the hardest-to-reach corners. Angle detection sensors allow the smart vacuum cleaner to pinpoint its location, telling you when to turn, or telling you when it’s reached the boundary of the room.

Conventional robot vacuum cleaners have only one camera. Advanced Hom-Bot Square utilizes the advanced Dual Eye 2 camera system.0 to build a smarter, faster and more efficient cleaning route. Capturing multiple frames per second, the top and bottom cameras effectively scan ceilings, walls and floors, even in the dark. Information is analyzed by the robot to create an effective cleaning map. At the same time, multiple sensors detect all obstacles within a 180-degree field of view, scanning multiple surface images to avoid collisions. Hom-Bot Square is equipped with a learning feature that allows it to identify places it has already cleaned. It helps him or her remember the location of objects or sense that the area is already clean, minimizing unnecessary repetition.

The low noise level of just 60dBA means that while Hom-Bot Square is busy cleaning, the homeowner can watch TV, talk on the phone or read. Slim design and height of just 89mm make it easy to maneuver around the home, even in cluttered areas.

LG Hom-Bot Square makes cleaning even more convenient, as it does not require frequent emptying, thanks to the large capacity of the easily removable dust bag compared with previous models of LG robotic vacuum cleaners . Unlike other robot-vacuum cleaners, in which the container is located on the side, the LG Hom-Bot Square has it placed on top of the body, so it can be quickly and hygienically extracted and cleaned. Enlarged and improved HEPA 11 filter allows air to be filtered more thoroughly, helping to eliminate, among other things, unpleasant odors. In Turbo mode, you can manually adjust the vacuum cleaner to best suit the floor in your home, and in Smart Turbo mode, it detects the floor and goes into heavy-duty carpet cleaning mode.
