LG G2 ā€˜Evo gallery editionā€™ 97-inch OLED TV ready to debut on market

The company LG Electronics LG announced that the worldā€™s largest OLED TV ā€“ LG OLED evo Gallery Edition, model 97G2, will soon be available for purchase in world markets. Specific launch dates in key markets to be announced in the coming weeks.

The 97G2 features an impressive 97-inch screen with LG OLED technology with self-illuminating pixels for an immersive viewing experience. With the introduction of the largest screen diagonal, LGā€™s 2022 OLED TV lineup now includes 42-, 48-, 55-, 65-, 77-, 83-, 88- and 97-inch options.

The undisputed global market leader in premium TVs for nine consecutive years1, LG OLED has become the choice of millions of consumers around the world. LG OLED TVs use self-illuminating pixels that can turn on and off individually to reproduce perfect blacks, incredibly natural tones and infinite contrast. OLED requires no backlighting, allowing for unprecedented form factors such as flexible and collapsible TVs.

At IFA 2022, LG will launch the all-new 97G2 as part of an expanded premium TV line-up that includes more and more great ultra-large TVs for unforgettable home viewing. The company will also showcase a variety of its advanced display technologies, represented at the IFA booth by models from the OLED, Micro LED and QNED series of TVs.

According to a recent market research report2, the share of OLED TVs in Europe among premium models this year will be 55%, and by 2023 ā€“ 66%. The report also predicts that worldwide shipments of TVs larger than 70 inches will reach about 14.9 million units in 2022, rising to nearly 17.1 million units next year. By expanding its range of OLED TVs with large and extra-large screens, LG stands a good chance of maintaining its dominant position in the premium TV segment, both in Europe and globally.

One of the stars of LGā€™s show at IFA, the 97-inch LG OLED evo Gallery Edition TV uses OLED evo technology, an Ī± Alpha 9 Gen5 AI processor and advanced picture algorithms to deliver realistic images and a truly immersive, cinematic viewing experience. Also, the 97-inch model of the G2 series features LG Gallery Design, which allows the TV to be flush mounted to the wall, instantly adding elegance to the most luxurious home theater.

Leading LGā€™s stunning lineup of 8K TVs at IFA is the 88-inch LG SIGNATURE OLED 8K model 88Z2 and the 86-inch QNED TV model 86QNED99 . Both extra-large models combine stunning size, superior 8K 7,680 x 4,320 resolution clarity and LGā€™s latest technology to give content of any genre more immersive. With more than 33 million self-luminous OLED pixels, the 88Z2 delivers an amazing level of detail, deep blacks, infinite contrast and realistic tones that remain consistent across a wide viewing angle. At the same time, thanks to LGā€™s Quantum Dot NanoCell and Precision Dimming technologies, the 8K 86QNED99 delivers crisp and bright images on an impressive 86-inch screen.

Also on display at the Berlin exhibition will be LGā€™s enormous 136-inch 4K Micro LED display 3,840 x 2,160 . This innovative solution for home use exhibits first-class image quality of impressive size thanks to self-luminous micro pixels and modular design.

Visitors to the IFA 2022 September 2-6 will be able to see all the latest LG flagship TVs, including the worldā€™s first 97-inch LG OLED TV, at the companyā€™s booth in Hall 18 of Messe Berlin.
