The American company Lexand Labs Lexand brand presents two new smartphones running Android 4 operating system.2.2. Both novelties have large 4.5-inch screens and are based on the economical MediaTek MT6572 hardware platform with dual-core CPU.

Lexand, which offers satellite navigators, e-readers, routers, tablets, recorders and accessories, entered the smartphone market in May 2013 with a 5-inch model Callisto S5A1 . In October 2013 Lexand Labs started a full-scale expansion in this segment by introducing four new smartphones, including Capella S5A3 with Full HD screen and phablet smartphone/tablet hybrid Antares S6A1 with 5.7-inch display.
Lexand today introduces two more smartphones, the Irida and Pallada. These are mid-range solutions based on the new MediaTek MT6572 platform. It is the world’s first single-chip smartphone solution with two cores ARM Cortex-A7, 1.2 GHz , as well as built-in FM radio, 3G, GPS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi modules[1]. Due to the high level of integration of the components the platform developers managed to achieve low power consumption due to this fact Lexand Irida and Pallada on a single charge of the 1700 mAh battery can function for two full days.
Both novelties are equipped with screens with diagonal size of 4.5 inches in case of Lexand Irida the resolution of the display is 854 x 480 pixels, in case of Pallada – 960 x 540 pixels. The screens are covered with a protective film, which is located under an additional sticker with the characteristics of the device thus, the user can not remove the factory-applied film, preventing scratches and abrasions on the surface of the screen.
The smartphones are equipped with 1.3 and 5 megapixel cameras, slots for MicroSD flash cards, as well as two SIM card slots. Both devices work under the operating system Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, the most recent version of Android on the mass market today. In the memory of the devices preinstalled set of applications from “Yandex” and Mail, clients of social networks and a full-featured 30-day version of the navigation package “Navitel Navigator.
