Lexand Labs, a American company that supplies navigators, video recorders, readers, smartphones, routers and accessories, is entering the tablet PC market with five different models: 7-inch A702 and A711, 7.85-inch A811, 8-inch A802, and 10.1-inch A1002. The new products use Qualcomm, MediaTek, Allwinner and Huawei hardware platforms. Feature of Lexand A711 and A811 is a built-in 3G module with voice support, Lexand A711, A811 and A802 have GPS receivers, a feature relatively rare for budget tablets. Lexand A702, A811 and A1002 come with one of the latest versions of the Android operating system – 4.2.
The American company Lexand Labs, which offers satellite navigation devices, e-readers, smartphones, routers, recorders and accessories, announces the launch of tablets. All new models – Lexand A702, A711, A802, A811 and A1002 – are based on the experience gained during the development of Lexand STA GPS navigators. We remind, these models run the Android operating system and can act as a tablet PC, although they are “geared” primarily for use in the car.
Lexand A1002 and A702 10.1 and 7 inches, respectively are powered by a quad-core Allwinner Boxchip A31S processor and run one of the most popular Android operating systems – 4.2. Screen resolution is the same and is 1280 x 800 pixels. The Lexand A1002 and Lexand A702 have metal chassis, and the 7-inch model is even thinner – 7.5mm.
Lexand A802 model with a diagonal of 8 inches 1024 x 768 pixels is also enclosed in a metal case. It runs on Android 4.1, and its core is a 4-core processor Huawei K3V2. This device includes a GPS receiver – an option that is still a rarity in tablets of this class.
Lexand A811 is a tablet with a diagonal of 7.85” 1024 x 768 , quad-core MediaTek MT8389 processor, 3G modem with voice calling and GPS receiver. Powered by Android 4.2.
Lexand A711 – 7-inch 1024 x 600 pixels tablet on the dual-core Qualcomm MSM8225 Snapdragon S4 Play processor with a GPS receiver and 3G module, which allows you to make receive voice calls. Operating system – Android 4.0, housing material – black matte plastic.
All Lexand tablets have two cameras. Built-in memory and RAM capacity in case of A711 is 4 GB and 512 MB, in case of the other four models – 8 GB and 1 GB. Each new product has a microSD card slot. The following applications are preinstalled in the device: “Yandex.Store, Yandex.Metro, Opera Mini, Odnoklassniki, ivi, Dr. Web Lite, Agent@Mail, MNMag. Models with GPS-modules are also equipped with a demo version of the program “Navitel Navigator.
Lexand A711 and A802 tablets went on sale September 16, other models will hit the shelves before the end of the month. A702, A711, A802, A811 and A1002 prices are 5999, 5999, 7999 and 7999 Dollars respectively.
