New York – October 27, 2016: Lenovo has officially introduced in America multi-mode 10-inch 2-in-1 Yoga Book tablets in two versions – with Android 6 operating system.0 and Windows 10. Lenovo Yoga Book features an articulated design that consists of 130 parts and allows the screen to rotate 360 degrees. It gives you the ability to work with devices in “laptop”, “tablet”, “presentation” and “console” modes.
Yoga Book tablets feature a unique multi-mode input panel consisting of five layers. The top one is 0.55-mm-thick glass with an anti-glare, rough surface, which the developers have made as similar as possible to the feel of paper when writing. The second layer is touch, it serves to recognize the touch of the fingers when typing on the Halo Keyboard. Layer 3 is the membrane for backlighting the keyboard. The fourth is a film capable of interacting with the Real Pen using electromagnetic resonance EMR . The fifth layer contains the electronic components of the computer: chipset, memory components and battery.
Halo Keyboard with LED backlight appears on the flat panel in the form of key outlines only in text input mode. It features haptic response, learning the owner’s writing style and predictive text input.
The rest of the time, the multifunction panel looks monotonous black and is used to work together with the Real Pen stylus. Wacom electromagnetic resonance EMR technology is used for accurate and fast input of graphical information, which enables to recognize up to 2048 pressure gradations of the pen and allows its tilt up to 100 degrees. Stylus has two operating modes thanks to easily replaceable stylus pins.
When using the Real Pen with ink sticks, the user can write and draw on a piece of paper or in a notebook placed on the touchpad. Graphic information is instantly digitized and simultaneously displayed on the notebook screen. If the pen with a polyoxymethylene POM tip is installed in the stylus, it is possible to work with the input panel, as with the usual graphic tablet.
Yoga Book’s list of enhancements also includes the handy Book UI that allows multiple applications to be viewed simultaneously in separate windows that can be moved and zoomed in and out. Book UI features are available to users of tablets with the Android 6 operating system.0.
The Yoga Book Transformers feature a 10.1-inch Full HD 1920×1200 pixels IPS screen and are built with energy-efficient Intel Atom x5-Z8550 processors. Video gas pedal is an integrated graphics Intel HD Graphics 400, the amount of memory type LPDDR3 is 4 GB, and flash memory of 64 GB is used as the main storage.
The devices support nano SIM cards to provide 2G/3G/4G LTE mobile connectivity, as well as Wi-Fi 802.0 and 802.0 .11 a/b/g/n/ac , Bluetooth and GPS. Via HDMI, the screen image can be displayed on an external monitor.
Yoga Book 2-in-1 tablets are made in a solid magnesium and aluminum alloy body that is only 9.6 mm thick and weighs 690 g. The Android version of the tablet is available in two colors: Gunmetal Grey and Champagne Gold, while the Windows 10 version is only available in Carbon Black. Lithium Polymer battery packs 15 hours of battery life Android version or 13 hours of battery life Windows version .
