Leica has added the Q Khaki version to the classic black-and-silver versions of its compact cameras with integrated fast lenses. The camera will be available worldwide in a limited edition of 495 models.
The unique design feature of this limited edition is the genuine khaki-colored, high-grade leather trim. Bottom plate and top casing in silver color and in anodized aluminum. In addition, the top plate is engraved with the Leica logo, which is the same color as the leather trim. The look is enhanced by the leather strap in the same color as the one supplied with the camera.
The specifications of the Leica Q Khaki are identical to those of the standard Leica Q. Camera equipped with full-frame 24-megapixel sensor and Maestro II image processor. Thanks to the particularly bright Summilux 28 mm f/1.7 ASPH, the camera is suitable for use in most situations, from street photography to architectural and landscape photography. To ensure reliable control over composition, the Leica Q features a built-in 3.68 MP viewfinder.
Leica Q controls provide quick access to all necessary settings and options. For example, auto-focus can be set with both a button and a touchscreen. Prefer manual focus? Then use the innovative Live View mode combined with “Focus-Peaking” and “Live View Zoom”.
The Leica Q can shoot Full HD video at 30 or 60 frames per second in MP4 format. The camera has built-in Wi-Fi which allows to quickly transfer photos and videos to external devices, as well as to remotely control the camera with a smartphone, using the Leica Q App.
