Summer is the time for light meals and refreshments. So the blender attachment of the ANKARSRUM will not lie idle.
So: day three.
TEST №6. MAKING A BANANA SMOOTHIE
There is a perception that standalone devices are more functional than attachments to combines. This is why it was especially interesting to test the ANKARSRUM blender.
For its connection on the body has a separate socket. Putting a glass beaker on it was a matter of seconds.
The blender jug is relatively small, unlike the dough bowl – a total volume of 1.7 liters. You can fill not more than 1,2 l of liquid, t.k. You must leave room for more volume during blending.
Cooking
In a bowl, I place half a banana, quarters of a kiwi fruit, a tablespoon of honey, 10 ice cubes and about 0.8 liter of milk. I close the lid, set the regulator to medium power and turn on the appliance.
Assembly time is 30 seconds.
Cooking time – 1 minute.
A minute later I pour the beverage into glasses. Everything, including the ice, is evenly crushed, and the thick honey is well mixed with the milk. The result is a homogeneous, thick drink that is pleasantly satiating and cooling in the summer heat.
Cooking surprises
The high quality of the blender was unexpected. If you had to turn it on medium speed to crush the ice, can you imagine what it can crush at maximum speed??
This attachment – a blender is not inferior to autonomous counterparts, as they say, it has everything.
The only thing I would add if I were the manufacturers is a spout on the jug, it makes it easier to pour drinks.
The blender is made of high quality shockproof plastic. To be honest, I thought it was glass – such is the quality of plastic.
It is equipped with very large volume markers, which are clearly visible to people with any eyesight. The location of the socket for the blender on the side panel allows it to be placed high enough, you do not have to lean into the device, which allows you to cook with maximum convenience.
The jug is easy to remove from the base, even at maximum filling. The main thing is not to forget to close the lid before turning on the blender, so that the droplets do not fly in all directions.
TEST #7. TREATMENTS
Among the many attachments that are purchased additionally, pay attention to the set for slicing shredding products. It has a plastic body with a pusher and three metal shredding drums for fine chopping, coarse chopping and slicing.
The nozzle is inserted in the main opening, the body of the ANKARSRUM should be lying on its side.
No complications during assembly. It is not even necessary to study the pictures in the instructions or watch the video on the official site of the manufacturer – everything is very simple.
Chopping beets
To begin, I set a fine chopper and use it to chop beets and carrots into beet roe. Handy that the slicer has a wide neck: you don’t even have to cut the beets into halves. Working on medium power, helped by the pusher. In about 2.5 minutes I managed to grind 5 beets and 1 large carrot. There is almost no waste: a small piece of one beet was not grated, it remained on the drum when all the chopped mass hit the inside of it.
The slicing quality is excellent.
Cutting up sausage
Since it comes with a slicer, I could not deny myself the pleasure of slicing sausage with it. I chose a rather soft loaf of smoked sausage. According to its diameter it goes just in the throat, slightly touching the wall. I set the slowest speed to cut the slices gently.
I was pleased with the result – not perfect, but very fine and almost no waste.
Assembling time: a minute.
TIME OF WORK: beets and carrots 2, 5 minutes, sausage loaf 4 minutes.
Important note
The manufacturers wrote to me that this attachment is not designed for slicing sausage.
Here is the assignment for each drum:
1 tumbler: grater – crackers, carrots, cheese, nuts for toppings, etc.d.
2 Tumbler: cutting – vegetables, fruits, cabbage, onions, etc.d.
3 Tumbler: grate – cheese, apples, potatoes, nuts for stuffing, etc.d.
But the fact is, the sausage was sliced, and not bad at that. I confess, I even sliced suzhuk with this attachment. And I am very pleased with the results. In my opinion, the manufacturers are overinsuring and don’t trust their supercombine that can handle even more complicated tasks than slicing cucumbers and apples.
But, you can’t, so you can’t..
Cooking surprises
Basically, there were no complications. The only thing to do is to periodically clean the middle bowl of the blender drum from chopped up food. There is a lot of them accumulated there, and they can “tromp” quite tightly. Exactly because of tight packing of beets in the drum there was a piece of ungrindable vegetable, and I had to take out slices of sausage very carefully not to tear them.
So I would recommend after about 1-1.5 minutes. grinder work clean the drum. When shredding, you don’t even have to stop the machine. Just use a fork or a spoon to push the shredded pieces into the container under the vegetable slicer.
A very pleasant surprise: the slicer can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
What other creative recipes can be made using the ANKARSRUM kitchen machine?
Sounds interesting! I’m curious to know what other types of recipes you have tried with the ANKARSRUM kitchen machine. Have you experimented with any savory dishes or baked goods? I’m looking for some inspiration to make the most of my kitchen appliance. Any recommendations?
