Kingston Digital, Inc., Flash memory business unit of Kingston Technology, Inc., Kingston, the world leader in storage solutions, announces its new line of UV500 SSDs.

Kingston will release for the first time an SSD drive featuring 3D NAND technology and full data encryption. Powered by the Marvell 88SS1074 controller, the UV500 boasts data read/write speeds up to 520MB/s and 500MB/s, respectively, ten times faster than standard HDDs at 7200rpm.
UV500 greatly improves system performance by reducing boot up and transfer times. The UV500 family of drives comes in three form factors 2.5′, M.2 2280, mSATA that are suitable for systems of all architectures and can serve as both boot drives and primary storage. The drive is available in 120GB, 240GB, 480GB, 960GB and 1920GB.
“We are proud to introduce our new line of UV500 SSDs,” said Ariel Perez, head of SSD business at Kingston. – They are primarily aimed at users who want to upgrade their systems and increase their performance. The UV500 has it all: a powerful controller, 3D NAND memory, and various form factors to fit in any system.
