The speakers remind traditional Malian djembe drums, which have become a symbol of music unity and artistic freedom all over the world, so the resemblance to them is no accident.
JBL Jembe consists of two speakers, one of which is the main one with a built-in amplifier and volume control, it’s cabled to the AC adapter and the audio output of PC or laptop 3.5 mm mini-jack and the other one is connected to this speaker via RCA-plug cable. In addition, the right speaker has a jack for headphones or other portable device and LED power indicator.
With JBL Jembe speakers you will never have to worry about whether they are on or off: they have a built-in power-saving feature and will shut themselves off if the audio signal is lost for several minutes.
At the same time the LED goes out and the speakers go into standby mode. As soon as the signal resumes the speakers themselves turn on. JBL Jembe 80 Hz – 20 kHz frequency range and Slipstream port technology allows for distortion and noise-free reproduction of even the lowest sounds.
Soon Jembe will become truly portable – in June a wireless version of the loudspeakers will appear, using Bluetooth technology. Bluetooth format was chosen due to its resistance to interference, besides it does not require a direct connection beam.
