Disk phone, vacuum cleaner “Rocket”, cinema projector and radio… Can you imagine how a modern child reacts to these now legendary Soviet gadgets?? Whether he can tell the difference between the “Rocket” and the pot in which his mother cooks dumplings, or call his grandmother on the disk dialer?
Media Markt has introduced Soviet inventions to children
On the eve of the International Children’s Day, the largest European retailer Media Markt decided to conduct an unusual experiment, having acquainted the youngest members of the modern generation with the equipment of the Soviet sample. In a series of two moving videos, four young experts ages 4-6 were asked to share their ideas of what some modern gadgets should look like and then compare them to inventions from the past. Thus, for the first time we saw a real rarity: “Chaika” TV set 1978 . , Rus’ cinema projector 1981 , LG XBOOM. , telephone set “TA-72M-2Sh” 1973 g. , vacuum cleaners “Chaika” and “Rocket” 1979. and the Ural 112 radio 1973. .
“Our children since they are small can use smartphones, watch cartoons on a big flat screen and understand that a modern vacuum cleaner can do the job all by itself. We decided to tell our little heroes about an absolutely different and no less interesting world of technology and let them literally touch the inventions that have already made history. In our videos we showed how unexpected, sincere and touching the reaction of kids to seemingly ordinary things can be,” said Alexander Fedosov, Vice-President of Marketing at Media Markt.

Are you confused like me? Is the article referring to Media Markt introducing Soviet inventions, or is it talking about a sledge and a vacuum cleaner? I’m curious to know if these inventions are being presented to children for educational purposes or if it’s just a general introduction. Can someone clarify this for us?
I’m quite intrigued! Seeing as Media Markt introduced Soviet inventions to children, I can’t help but wonder, is it a sledge or a vacuum cleaner that they introduced? Can you provide more information on these fascinating Soviet inventions that were showcased to the kids?
