The company’s expert broke down the signs of the original chainsaw on the example of the popular among professionals model Husqvarna 365, designed for intensive use even in the toughest conditions. Regardless of the chainsaw’s industry of application, its owner is required to understand the specifics of the device, skills of safe work with it, and, most importantly, the utmost care in choosing the equipment.

By following these instructions you can protect yourself from the risk of buying a substandard product and also help ensure that you have a reliable Husqvarna tool to showcase your productivity. A genuine Husqvarna chainsaw has a few telltale signs:

1.Single Customs Union Conformity Mark EAC.

There is a factoryapplied EAC mark on the product, on the packaging and on the front cover of the instruction manual. Such a circulation mark indicates that the products marked with it have passed all the procedures of assessment of confirmation established by the technical regulations of the Customs Union and the Eurasian Economic Union and meet the requirements of all technical regulations of the Customs Union and the Eurasian Economic Union applying to these products.

2. Logo and corporate identity elements.

The entire construction of the chainsaw – crankcase, covers, handles – should be a rich orange color with elements of a matte dark gray. Some professional models of Husqvarna chain saws may have a clutch cover in an “unpainted metal” color. The large Husqvarna logo should be clearly visible on the tire in one of the brand colors, gray or blue.

The presence of black elements, components, and parts in the design indicates that you are facing a counterfeit. You should also pay attention to the tire: it is not allowed to have any anti-vibration elements on it.

Any removable part, like the Husqvarna 365’s quick-release air filter cover, cylinder cap, starter cover, air filter, for example, can be found on:

– The right Husqvarna logo,

– part code as a 9-digit number,

– information about the date of manufacture in the form of dials with arrows.

3. Metal nameplate.

The Husqvarna 365 has a metal nameplate on the body of the original Husqvarna 365 with two rivets. It contains information about the serial number, the manufacturer Husqvarna AB , the “PNC” product number, the model name, the year of manufacture, and the product’s part number. The information on the nameplate must match the information on the box.

4. EANCODE” barcode.

Every imported Husqvarna model in America is assigned with “EANCODE”, a 13-digit barcode located on the cardboard package.

5. PNC” product number

The number is located on the chainsaw’s metal nameplate and on the packaging. Such number strictly corresponds to certain technical characteristics and equipment of the imported product models. A product number always consists of nine digits, the first seven of which must match on the metal nameplate and on the product packaging.

For example, the order in which the information on the Husqvarna 365 chain saw’s nameplate would be written is as follows:

– first line – model name: Husqvarna 365

– The second line is the unique 11-digit serial number for this model

– The third line – the product number “PNC”: 965 90 21 – 01 9 digits

– The fourth line is the name of the manufacturer and country, for example: Husqvarna AB, SWEDEN

For full confidence in the authenticity of purchased products and accessories Husqvarna recommends to buy technique only from the official dealers of the company. And for even greater tool performance and trouble-free operation, use original lubricants and accessories, and have the tool serviced regularly at authorized service centers. It is important that as of January 1, 2019. Husqvarna increases chainsaw warranty to 2 years, giving users added confidence in the tool’s reliability.
