How good is the Hoover Rush Extra TRE1410 019

Since my cat’s four grown kittens were having fun waiting to meet their owners, cleaning was required more often than usual in January.

First time acquaintance

• The large dust container 2.5L is one of the advantages of this model.

Test # 1. Vacuuming the floor

The main universal floor/mop brush has retractable bristles, allowing it to be used on both smooth floors and carpeted flooring.

Pedal switch function is easy.

Used this brush the most because of its multi-functionality.

For parquet and other surfaces that require gentle handling, the special Parquet Caresse brush is a better choice.

It’s nice that it comes with an inexpensive vacuum cleaner. There are two rows of bristles and felt rollers on each side, so it doesn’t scratch the floor. To make sure this brush grabs large debris, there are holes in the front row of bristles.

The bottom line is

The vacuum cleaner easily picks up any debris, it handles the cleaning by five.

Test #2. Vacuuming a high pile rug

In some versions of this vacuum cleaner is a turbo-brush, but in our model it is not provided. So we clean the carpet with a universal brush.

The brush in the “carpet” position takes some getting used to, you have to apply force and push the brush away – towards yourself. My men were easily able to do it. I’m a little stressed about this kind of exercise.

Bottom line

No need to rush, you can get a high pile carpet in a hurry, even with the classic brush head. But I wouldn’t mind a turbo brush.

Test #3. Crevices, sofas, corners

The Hoover Rush Extra TRE1410 019 has all the necessary brushes to thoroughly clean all corners and furniture.

The 21cm high crevice brush has a 1.5cm wide oval opening. It helps to vacuum even narrow places, including under the sofa, where there is a gap of at least 5cm between the sofa and the floor.

For tidying up upholstered furniture there is a special brush included.

And also the vacuum cleaner is equipped with a dust brush.

The bottom line

It will clean all the corners of the apartment, will clean under the couch and in hard to reach places. It can even pick up pet hair from upholstered furniture.

Cleaning

It’s easy: take the bin, press the button, the bottom of the bin tilts out and the bin empties into the bin itself. We did it after 1-2 cleanings without waiting for it to fill to the Max mark. The container is large 2.5 liters , but the denser it’s filled, the more likely you’ll have to nudge flakes of dust with your fingers or drying sticks.

Care

The filters of all cyclone vacuum cleaners need to be cleaned regularly.

The filter should be rinsed every 3 months, and the rest of the time it should be removed and knocked out. Despite the large container, it is better to clean without waiting until it is filled to the max mark.

The filter is very easy to disassemble: press the lever under the handle and turn the lid clockwise.

The filtration system is multistage.

First the large cyclone and the coarse mesh separates the coarse debris, then the 9 small cyclones separate the air and the fine dust, everything that has passed is retained by the pre-motor filter and the HEPA exhaust filter does the final air purification.

It’s important that after wet cleaning, the filter is completely dry for 24 hours before use.

Storage

Can only be stored horizontally in one position. Nozzles can be attached to the tube, but the cleaner itself takes up quite a bit of space.

Noise

I wouldn’t call this vacuum cleaner quiet.

Noise level of 82dB made kittens run to mom.

But everything is within the norm. This is the noise of all cyclones.

Controls

On the body of the Hoover Rush Extra TRE1410 019 two large buttons that you can press with your foot: on/off and rewind the cord.

By the way, the winding speed is very fast.

But there is no power control button. On the handle there is a valve to reduce the suction power. It has only two fixed positions, “open” and “closed”.
