Hotpoint-Ariston introduced the Luce – 2 line: hobs

Luce hobs cooperate perfectly with the other items of the collection and can be integrated into any kitchen style – from classic to ultramodern.

Electric hobs

Electric hobs: the burner is ignited by the design

Direct Flame burners guarantee the best results with every dish, thanks to the revolutionary design of the burners.

Unlike traditional radial flames burners, which concentrate the heat only on certain areas of the cookware, the micro-holes of the Direct Flame burners spread the flame vertically, uniformly distributing it over the whole surface.

Burns quickly and evenly

An innovation of the Luce line are the cooking zones with new completely flat burners. Cooking with these Direct Flame burners is faster and, thanks to even heat distribution, they consume less energy for the same amount of time.

Compared to traditional burners, Direct Flame burners save up to 20 percent in energy and time. That’s why Luce hobs are labelled with EcoTech – a guarantee of eco-friendliness and energy efficiency.

Gas hobs: a circular flame inside a hob

The design of Luce cooking tops is based on transversal lines. Available in 60 and 75 cm widths, these models are 4 cm wider than standard models, creating larger spacing between burners and more space for the control panel.

Although this makes the useful cooking surface wider, it still fits perfectly into standard built-in niches.

The ergonomic knobs and intuitive control panel allow you to fine-tune the intensity of the flame. Enameled or cast iron grids create a strong support for the cookware and can be removed for easy maintenance.

The induction cooking method is on the hob

LUCE induction hobs have been designed to provide maximum technology for superior cooking.

The induction hobs create an electromagnetic field with special coils that convert into heat on the surface of the pot.

Thus, the surface that does not come into contact with cookware stays cold, ensuring safety and protection from burns.

Induction technology offers a whole range of functional benefits, including time savings and safety.

Thanks to induction, it is possible to reduce the cooking time by up to 40% in comparison to traditional and gas cooktops.

The water in a pot on the hob boils in just 3 minutes, which saves a lot of time and ensures maximum functionality and practicality in the kitchen.

At the same time, heating the area only directly in contact with the cookware means no heat dispersion and more even cooking of any recipe with perfect results.

The data in the table are very representative. They are obtained by performing internal tests under the following conditions: 2 liters of water – 20 to 90 °C. Heating power: 2000 W.

Induction starts with a touch of the finger

LUCE induction hobs by Hotpoint-Ariston feature advanced touch control technology: clear and easy-to-read buttons and logical graphics, allowing you to operate each cooking zone with precision and comfort.

The LUCE range also includes models with a Slider control panel, which allows you to set the desired cooking temperature with a simple movement of your hand.

Booster function: Boil and turn down

This function allows you to quickly increase the temperature in the desired cooking zone without affecting the temperature and power of the other cooking zones.

When Booster is activated, the cooking zone reaches maximum temperature in just 4 minutes, after which it automatically turns off and goes back to the previously selected level.

This makes it ideal for cooking processes such as boiling and frying.

Timer is the last to go off

Each cooking zone on LUCE hobs has a timer that allows you to set the required cooking time and power. Programming time is from 1 to 99 minutes.

When the timer expires, the heating zone will turn off automatically, preventing negative consequences if you accidentally forget to turn off the surface.

Will only heat the bottom of the pot

Induction technology guarantees safety in your kitchen. The heating zones will only function if they “feel” a metal pot on their surface, and the magnetic field created will only heat the surface covered by the pot, leaving the surface around it cold.

The spoon on the cooking zone will not boil over

The LUCE hob functions selectively. The magnetic field, the basis of the induction technology, is only activated when metal pans over 11 cm in diameter are in contact.

The surface will not turn on if there are only small objects, such as cutlery, that could be forgotten on the surface.

Residual heat indicator lights

Indicator lamps for residual heat guarantee safety after use. This function is also convenient when it is necessary to maintain the temperature of the dishes, for example, when waiting for guests.

Heating zone turns off by itself

The automatic device detects when the hob has been in use for too long and will turn the cooking zone off if you accidentally leave it on.

Kids won’t ruin dinner

The “Control panel lock” function is necessary for those who have children. It avoids changing the programs by accidental touch, which also makes the surface easier to clean.

Your own buzzer

An additional element that ensures maximum safety and peace of mind in the kitchen is the acoustic signal that sounds when an anomaly is detected on the hob.

Easy to clean

LUCE induction hobs are extremely fast and easy to care for: their completely smooth surface does not trap cooking residues and a special technology leaves the surface around the cooking zone cold. That way, in case of spills, the liquid doesn’t stick.

Furthermore, in the spirit of the green initiative, the innovative glass ceramic “it’s green” used in this product is manufactured without using toxic metals such as arsenic and antimony.
