Design

HOOVER HF18DPT 019 – Stand up vacuum cleaner.

Storage system

The vacuum cleaner stands perfectly with the main nozzle and does not need a support. You can just put it in a corner and that’s it.

Control

To test the vacuum cleaner, I went to visit a friend’s grandmother, who has a lot of carpets, flowers, kitty, and vacuum cleaner forgot at the cottage. That’s where the HOOVER landed for a month, to show its true colours.

1 cleaning

The HOOVER HF18DPT 019 went to the dust like a fight.

First, it illuminated it and the scale of the disaster became clear.

I set the normal mode no turbo and started with the carpet in the kitchen: the pile on it is low, but other than a broom it did not clean with anything else.

After about 15 minutes the suction power has dropped sharply the indicator was still lit blue . I had to stop work: the pipe next to the filter turned out to be tightly clogged, cleaned it, and continued cleaning. By the time the charge ran out, I managed to vacuum the entire kitchen, I even managed to clean the corners and the space next to the kitchen unit with the crevice nozzle.

Everyday cleaning

I tested the HOOVER HF18DPT 019 every day for a month.

• With this approach, one charge was enough to clean the floor of a two-room apartment.
• I cleaned all the furniture with a small electric brush, radiators.
• The space near the cat’s litter box pet owners know that there are always crumbs of litter there is more convenient to clean with a “hand-held” vacuum cleaner with a nozzle for furniture.

One emergency: the vacuum stops sucking. I checked the tube, cleaned the container – the result is zero. Very upset! I took off the main nozzle, turned it over: it turned out to be densely and tightly clogged with dust all along the flexible tube. Cleaned it with a long wooden stick, and HOOVER HF18DPT 019 worked fine!

Impressions

HOOVER HF18DPT 019 is a good upright vacuum cleaner: maneuverable, comfortable, functional.

• The container cleaning procedure is simple and hygienic. It’s great that everything can be taken off and washed – about once a month this should be done to keep the vacuum cleaner running longer without problems.

Notes

1. The vacuum cleaner copes with coarse dirt worse than fine dust. For example, the electric iron does not pick up leaves from houseplants. The same goes for cat litter crumbs that are on the floor: she swallows them in turbo mode, but leaves them on the floor more often.
2. I found 2 bottlenecks: the container inlet tube and the flexible tube of the main nozzle. If your vacuum suddenly stops working properly, it’s probably clogged.
3. Didn’t like that the extra nozzles have to be taken out with a noticeable effort, they don’t have a button for easy installation.
4. Well and 5 hours of charging is a long time, I would like to be faster.

The bottom line

The HOOVER HF18DPT 019 is suitable as a second vacuum cleaner in the house.

I did not like the extraction of the extra nozzles, which have to be removed with a lot of effort, and there is no easy-to-install button. It is good for my daily mopping.d.

This cordless vacuum cleaner has an excellent price/quality ratio: it is inexpensive for such class of equipment, but it is equipped with two electric brushes and allows you to clean for 30 minutes, not pressing the button all the time with your finger.
