Hisense was the first brand in the world to be certified by the T&Uuml V Rheinland Privacy by Design.

For the past few years, Hisense has been working closely with T&Uuml V Rheinland in the field of data protection and recently received two new certifications:

• The Hisense 72671 based on the VIDAA platform received the world’s first certificate under the new ETSI EN 303 645 standard.
• Hisense 9900 Android TV has passed T&Uuml V Rheinland CCPA.

In June 2020 the European Telecommunications Standards Institute ETSI , together with manufacturers, the educational community and government agencies, officially issued ETSI EN 303 645, a new standard that specifies general cybersecurity requirements for consumer products, including protecting user privacy, preventing network attacks, and more.

ETSI EN 202 645 standard provides a practical solution to limit cybercriminals’ ability to control global devices, perform DDoS attacks, mine cryptocurrencies or steal user data.

The standard evaluates two indicators: cybersecurity provisions and data privacy provisions. The focus is on technical controls and organizational measures to address information security vulnerabilities.

As part of this certification, T&Uuml V Rheinland assessed Hisense products for compliance with cybersecurity regulations and privacy requirements of the ETSI EN 303 645 standard. In addition, T&Uuml V Rheinland has carried out a comprehensive product analysis as part of a comprehensive design audit and a check related to product security. Hisense will continue to cooperate with T&Uuml V Rheinland in other projects.
