AeroCool Introduces HIGGS Series Modular Power Supplies

Highlighting the HIGGS line is the 80 Plus Gold certification guaranteeing high energy efficiency and efficiency rating of 88-92%, depending on load. Earlier 80 PLUS Gold certified power supplies top level AeroCool XPredator G. High efficiency is now also characteristic of the budget HIGGS series devices. The 80 PLUS Gold certification means that only high-quality, reliable components are used in the power supply, which reduces the heat of the HIGGS and significantly extends its service life.

Throughout the full load range AeroCool HIGGS PSUs deliver their full capacity and the additional DC-to-DC chip filters potential interference and stabilizes the +12v line during heavy load surges.

HIGGS offers the modular cabling typical of high-end power supplies. In addition to 20+4 and 4+4 unsoldered motherboard power lines with 600 mm cables, the HIGGS has six additional connectors. Two separate 6+2 split PCI-E lanes power two NVIDIA SLI or AMD CrossFireX flagship graphics cards simultaneously, making all HIGGS series the perfect solution for building a high performance gaming PC. To connect drives, drives and other devices there are four lines, together carrying eight SATA connectors, five connectors PATA Molex and one Floppy to maintain compatibility with floppy drives – this feature allows the HIGGS units in corporate systems, where the presence of obsolete equipment. The total number of lines and connectors is the same for all models in the AeroCool HIGGS line.

HIGGS power supplies are cooled by a large 140mm fan with an improved blade profile. Large diameter allows for increased airflow at low speeds compared to standard 120mm fans. Intelligent controller reduces RPM at low power load, which makes HIGGS power supplies almost silent in most PC scenarios.
