HiFiMAN introduced the new MegaMini, which continues the brand’s series of compact hi-fi players. The novelty, according to its name, can rightfully be considered the smallest device in this class – it has a thin body, and the height of only 100 mm.

HiFiMAN MegaMini is a mega portable player capable of playing high definition music, including DSD files. The model supports MicroSD-cards with a capacity up to 256GB, so you can build a collection of 8000 tracks in lossless-format.
MegaMini is like being at a concert with clear, detailed, lifelike sound thanks to its built-in DAC. What exactly DAC used in the player, the manufacturer keeps secret, but the sound it provides – a magnificent, worthy flagship HiFiMAN.

MegaMini’s long-life battery, combined with energy-saving technology, gives you up to 15 hours of continuous use. Despite the small size, the player has an impressive 54 mW 36 Ohm power, it easily pushes most full-size headphones, including planar models such as HiFiMAN HE-400s and HE-400i.
The developers paid a lot of attention to the interface of the device and tried to make it as user-friendly as possible. That means it’s easy to use, intuitive to understand, and beautiful to look at.
This HiFiMAN MegaMini player sounds intriguing, but I’m curious about its performance given its small size. Can it deliver the same level of high-quality audio as larger players?
