Hasselblad updates firmware for X1D and H6D medium format cameras

Hasselblad has updated the firmware for the X1D and H6D to version 1.21. The new firmware version adds a new white balance adjustment tool to both cameras, audible notifications, support for image linking, the ability to zoom 100% with a single button press in image view, and a host of other changes that improve the camera experience.

Photo equipment

New features common to X1D, including interval timer and exposure bracketing. Using the interval timer, photographers can expand their creative possibilities by creating impressive “time-lapse” shots. Exposure Bracketing enables series shots to be taken in increments of 0.3EV, 0.5EV, 1EV, 2EV or 3EV in 2, 3, 5, 7 or 9 frames. Users can select shutter speed or aperture as a variable when setting bracketing.

The main change for the H6D is the ability to create custom profiles that will speed up the transition between camera settings configurations for different shooting conditions. By accessing the list of general settings on the main display, the user can access the corresponding menu and save the current camera settings in one of seven available profiles.
