Unique RIDGID Straplock helps installers “cut through” large-diameter pipes, even on their own

RIDGID Straplock is the plumbing industry’s first belt holder for effortless alignment and installation of plastic tubing sizes 80-220 mm 3-8″ . Special nylon belt, 800 mm long, provides a firm and gentle grip on polypropylene, PVC or LDPE products as they are moved around the construction site, cut, or connected to other components of the utility. The material and shape of the fixing strap exclude pipe slippage and reduce the probability of damage. Quickly adjusting the holder to the right size allows you to switch to work with pipes of different diameters without delay.

“When installing domestic, technical and storm sewer systems, as well as heating and water supply networks, it is often necessary to fix the plastic pipe in a certain position. For example, to maintain the alignment of two pipe sections during welding or gluing. But until now, installers haven’t had any really handy tools for this kind of work,

– says Andrey Makarov, head of RIDGID’s American division. –

The RIDGID Straplock, developed by our experts, with its strong grip and extra leverage, helps the user to apply pressure in all directions to achieve the most accurate pipe positioning even in confined spaces.

The Straplock holder is resistant to low temperatures and moisture, so it’s convenient to use in winter, in outdoor areas and when working with dirty and wet pipes. Innovative design of lock adapted for frequent use and easy fixation of handle position helps to work with one hand.

Light weight of 330g eases the burden on the construction site. At the same time, the compact device will help to perform those operations that previously required an assistant.

Straplock holders can also be used in pairs, such as for aligning and securing two pieces of pipe to be joined when joining them by welding or gluing methods.

This sounds like a useful tool! I’m curious, how does the RIDGID Straplock make it easier to handle large pipes by yourself? Can it securely grip and hold onto the pipes without slipping, providing stability and preventing accidents? Additionally, does it require any special techniques or adjustments to properly use the Straplock?
