Nikon has introduced a new full-frame super telephoto lens, the NIKKOR Z 400 mm f/2.8 TC VR S with constant focal length and built-in teleconverter. NIKKOR Z 400mm f/2.8 TC VR S is the first Z-series lens to feature Nikonā€™s new Silky Swift VCM focusing system with ABS optical encoder. Autofocus is faster and quieter, capturing and tracking the subject accurately. Itā€™s also the first Z-series lens with Nikonā€™s new mesoamorphic coating, providing the best anti-reflective protection in the history of NIKKOR lenses. New coating particles are finer than nanoparticles, eliminating double vision and glare. Photos are perfectly sharp, even with multiple direct light sources in the frame.

Together with the built-in teleconverter, the optical construction of this lens features 25 elements in 19 groups, including 2 ED glass lenses, 2 fluorite lenses, 1 Super-ED glass lens and 1 SR glass lens, minimizing chromatic aberration. Color, clarity and contrast exceed all expectations. Built-in vibration reduction system, giving a 5.5-stop advantage even when shooting with the built-in teleconverter activated. Synchro VR available when used with the Z 9 camera. In addition, a built-in filter socket makes it easy to attach a filter, giving you even more control in difficult lighting conditions.
