Edge 530

“The Edge 530 and Edge 830 include new or improved features designed for all cyclists – serious athletes, mountain bikers, city dwellers and everyone else,” said Dan Bartel, Garmin’s vice president of worldwide consumer sales. – “Garmin’s unique Edge bike computers offer new ride data, navigation, and tracking and safety features.”.

Edge 530 and Edge 830 models come preloaded with Garmin cycling map, including navigation cues and warnings about dangerous turns ahead on your route. They also calculate routes using the best roads, trails, and mountain trails, and give you directions if you deviate from your route or return to your starting point. Edge 830 lets you create new rides and distances directly from your bike computer.

They are great companions for mountain biking enthusiasts. They come preloaded with Trailforks data, which includes detailed trail maps in more than 80 countries with ratings, and added directly to Garmin maps. During a ride, new sensors track information such as number of jumps, distance of jumps and time in the air. Another feature for Grit mountain bikes determines ride difficulty using GPS, altitude and accelerometer data. Flow feature lets you see how smoothly the cyclist can descend the trail.

The new ClimbPro feature automatically shows the remaining climb and gradient for each section of ascent as you ride, helping you to allocate your strength for the remainder of the trail. They will give you advice on how your body behaves in hot and humid conditions and remind you when it is time to replenish or replenish your water balance.

After the ride, the bike computers display data from the previous four weeks of riding, broken down by periods of low aerobic activity, high aerobic activity and anaerobic activity. With this data, you can assess how balanced the training was and what you should pay extra attention to. When paired with compatible sensors, the Edge 530 and Edge 830 can calculate a cyclist’s power graph and compare effort during a ride to previous weeks and months. With a training plan, Edge devices provide automatic sync with Garmin Connect™ and TrainingPeaks so you can review your workouts for the next week before you begin.
