The Dash Cam 65W not only captures all the details of your trip and stores detailed details of the incident, but also offers useful warning functions for the driver to improve driving safety. It can warn you if youā€™re facing a car ahead of you with ā€œForward collision warning,ā€ alert you if youā€™re drifting out of your lane with ā€œLane departure warning,ā€ or tell you where to place the outside cameras. When the car is stopped at an intersection or in a traffic jam, the ā€œGoā€ feature will alert the driver to resume the flow of traffic in front of him.

DVR Dash Cam 65W mounted on the windshield and in continuous recording mode captures video of excellent quality in almost any lighting conditions. When connected to a power source, the unit starts recording automatically using the included removable microSD card. In order to improve traffic safety in the model Dash Cam 65W voice commands are available to control the DVR.

The phrase ā€œOK, Garminā€ can be used to save video, take a photo, start and stop audio recording and Travelapse mode, a feature that lets you record your entire trip and share your adventures with friends and family. With built-in Wi-Fi, the Dash Cam 65W transmits video wirelessly to a compatible smartphone with the free downloaded VIRB App, allowing you to stream, edit and share videos.

With a built-in GPS receiver, all video files are saved along with time and location stamps so the user can pinpoint the exact coordinates of a traffic incident. When viewing footage on a computer, the driver has access to more detailed information: latitude, longitude, date, time, speed and driving direction.

G-sensor automatic collision recording function in case of a car collision allows Dash Cam 65W to save the current, previous and subsequent recordings for complete information about the accident. All data is stored on the included removable microSD card. In addition, the DVR can be used to take close-up shots of the scene and the damage caused.

The camera will take care of the car even in the parking lot. With the car parked and the engine turned off, the Dash Cam 65W uses a Garmin parking cable sold separately to watch the area around the car and will start recording if any movement is detected.

About the start of Dash Cam 65W sales in America will be announced later. Approximate cost of the model is $250

This is quite intriguing! Iā€™m curious to know how Garminā€™s DVR with a 180-degree viewing angle could enhance the recording experience. Does the wider field of view allow for capturing more details or does it affect the quality in any way? Additionally, will this new feature make any difference in terms of safety while driving?

This is interesting news! Iā€™m curious to know how the wide viewing angle of Garminā€™s DVR compares to other similar products on the market. Are there any advantages or limitations to having such a wide angle? Would it possibly distort the image quality or provide a better overview of the surroundings?

Garminā€™s DVR offers a wide viewing angle that allows for a better overview of the surroundings compared to other similar products on the market. The advantage of a wide angle is that it captures a larger field of view, providing more details in the recorded video. However, there are limitations to consider. A wide angle may distort the image slightly, affecting image quality at the edges. Additionally, objects in the distance may appear smaller. Despite these limitations, the wide angle can still be beneficial in capturing a wider perspective and important details, making it a valuable feature for surveillance and documentation purposes.
