All the way around, Garmin DVRs retain high-quality video with a maximum resolution of 1920x1080p with a 2.1 megapixel camera in the case of the Dash Cam 45 and 2560x1440p with a 3.7 megapixel camera in the case of the Dash Cam 55. Garmin Dash Cam 45 Video Recorder

The devices include useful warning functions for the driver to improve traffic safety on the road. The recorders report deviating from the lane and approaching another car at a dangerous distance, and when stopped in traffic or at an intersection, they signal the beginning of the flow of traffic ahead. Thanks to the database loaded in the recorder, show the location of external cameras on the way.

In addition to basic functionality, these cameras feature a Travelapseā„¢ video mode that compresses hours of travel into minute-long clips. With the VIRBĀ® Mobile App preloaded on a smartphone, videos can be instantly downloaded to a smartphone and then shared with friends or uploaded to social media. The Dash Cam 55 also offers a voice control option: the driver can give five simple commands in English to start or stop recording, as well as take a photo.
