When paired with on-board Garmin electronics, Quatix 5 can transmit shipboard data in NMEA 2000 format, reporting all the information you need about speed, depth, temperature, wind direction. Quatix 5 owners can view this data on the watch screen from anywhere on board ship. When paired with a GHP-series autopilot, it gives you the option of steering the boat without sitting at the helm: the watch lets you change direction remotely, set the detent mode, navigate a GPS route, and begin following preset patterns.

When paired with a chartplotter, the Quatix 5 marks a new waypoint with the press of a button from anywhere on board. With the built-in FUSION-Link Lite app, the unit controls the onboard StereoActive multimedia system as well as other ANT-compatible stereo equipment.

Among the current information available on the Quatix 5 watch is tide data downloadable for the current region via smartphone. Calculates the amount of anchor wire needed and triggers an alarm if they’re adrift. The watch is water resistant to 100 meters and has a color display with excellent picture quality even in bright light. LED backlighting for low visibility. EXO antenna in steel and high-sensitivity GPS receiver with GLONASS capability for superior satellite tracking. Long battery life of up to 24 hours in GPS mode, 60 hours in UltraTrac mode, and two weeks in smartwatch mode.

Quatix 5 is not only for cruising, sailing and fishing. On land, the Garmin Elevate wrist-based heart rate monitor turns into a sports watch for running, swimming, etc.d. Calculates how much oxygen per minute the user is consuming, gives recovery recommendations and a predicted race time estimate of ideal finish time based on current VO2 max – the maximum amount of oxygen consumed per minute . The device includes activity tracker functions to count steps, calories burned and steps climbed. After the end of the day, the watch monitors sleep by measuring total sleep duration and periods of fast/slow sleep.

The Quatix 5 is compatible with Connect IQ, an open, third-party content platform for compatible Garmin wearable devices. Users can add various apps, widgets, data fields and watch faces to their watch.

Quatix 5 has an elegant design and a small size of just 47 mm compared to 51.5 mm in the previous version . Available in two versions: Quatix 5 and Quatix 5 Sapphire. The Quatix 5 Sapphire has a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and stainless steel bracelet, and a blue QuickFit silicone strap is included. It also features Wi-Fi to connect the watch to your home network and send data automatically to the Garmin Connect app.
