After extensive testing, DisplayMate experts announced that the Galaxy Note10+ smartphone received the highest-ever quality rating of A+, setting a new standard for display quality on mobile devices.
“The quality of displays improves every year, and the Galaxy Note10+ is a prime example,” commented DisplayMate president, Dr. Raymond M. Soneira. – Galaxy Note10 has the most innovative screen ever tested in our lab. The latest Samsung flagship several times surpassed last year’s model on parameters such as brightness, reflection ratio, color fidelity and blue light reduction “.
Both the 6.3-inch Galaxy Note10 Full HD+, 2280×1080 and 6.8-inch Galaxy Note10 Quad HD+, 3040×1440 feature Samsung’s new “borderless” Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O display. The immersive screens got a single small camera opening in the center, which provides an exceptionally high ratio of screen area to the overall front surface of the smartphone.
The Galaxy Note10+’s peak brightness of 1,308 nits is 25% higher than that of the Galaxy Note9 1,050 nits , and the Dynamic AMOLED Infinity display has the lowest reflection ratio in DisplayMate research history at just 4.3%. The combination of high brightness and low reflectivity provides better image clarity and accurate color reproduction even in bright light, such as outdoors on a sunny day.
According to DisplayMate experts, the color rendering accuracy of this novelty is 0.4 JNCD, which is even lower than the 0.5 JNCD of Galaxy Note9. The lower the JNCD ratio, the more realistic the image. Galaxy Note10 rating means that the colors you see on the smartphone screen are visually indistinguishable from those in real life.
HDR10+ support on the Galaxy Note 10+ allows for the most realistic picture when playing high resolution content, such as 4K UHD video. And Dynamic Tone Mapping optimizes color from frame to frame, keeping the image the way it was meant to be seen. During the test, DisplayMate experts also found that the level of blue emission on the Galaxy Note10+ compared to the Galaxy Note9 was 37.5% lower, without affecting the accuracy of color reproduction.
Not surprisingly, based on the test results, DisplayMate described the Galaxy Note10+ screen as “an excellent, world-class display,” and Samsung as a company that “continues to systematically improve OLED screens.”.
Is the Galaxy Note10+’s display truly the best ever, or do you think there are other smartphones that offer an even better display quality?
