Fun lessons with the new Epson document cameras

Epson introduces two new ELPDC21 and ELPDC13 document cameras that are the perfect complement to a complete solution with Epson projectors for education. The built-in full HD camera gives you a clear, detailed picture for the whole class on the big screen. Teachers can send high-quality content to multiple displays simultaneously, such as a laptop, projector, or monitor, thanks to the parallel video output.

The ELPDC21 and ELPDC13 document cameras are effective tools for drawing attention to the topic being taught in class. Add artistic filters to make learning more entertaining and clear: the Full HD resolution camera faithfully reproduces even the smallest details of your subjects. Moreover, the coverage area – A3 format – allows you to work with large-scale objects: maps, books, 3D-objects.

Document cameras do not only work with static objects – thanks to the high frame rate of 30 fps they can capture clear video in real time. Digital and optical zoom ELPDC21 only , together with high resolution, allow you to see in detail, for example, small handwritten text on historical documents. The Visualizers are also equipped with a built-in LED backlight and an optional microscope adapter can be used to show educational material from a microscope.

Teachers can also control the document camera directly from the projected image to avoid having to move the camera and not lose students’ interest.

Another interesting advantage of the new models is the Split-screen function – it allows you to display two images from different sources simultaneously. Thus, the teacher can clearly show the students, for example, any chemical process: one half of the screen will broadcast the chemical formula, and the other half in online mode – the process of mixing and further chemical reaction in all its details.

● Epson Document Cameras are a compact and lightweight solution – they can be carried from classroom to classroom or taken with you on field trips, especially since a protective bag is included. For security against theft of equipment, the Visualizers are equipped with a Kensington lock.

The ELPDC21 and ELPDC13 are compatible with the Epson EB-5 series of short-throw and ultra-short-throw projectors.
