Fujifilm X100V fixed focal length camera for professionals and amateurs.

Fujifilm has announced the X100V, the fifth generation model in its iconic FUJIFILM X100 line of premium digital cameras. The camera got new 23mmF2 lens, new and improved hybrid viewfinder, dust proof and waterproof body, tilting LCD display and many other updates.

Key features of the Fujifilm X100V

The X100V body has one solid aluminum plate on the top and bottom panels and a smooth finish for a refined, classic look with clean lines. Increased body grip, slight changes to ISO dial and lens barrel for more comfortable operation. Dust and splash-proof for the first time in the X100 series. This can be achieved by attaching the optional AR-X100 adapter ring and the PRF-49 protection filter to the lens.

At the core of the Fujifilm X100V is an advanced APS-C X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor and a quad-core X-Processor 4. The new sensor has a resolution of 26.1MP and uses a back-illuminated design for maximum image quality and wide dynamic range. Its unique color filter array controls moiré and false color without the need for a low pass optical filter.

Powerful CPU not only enables fast and smooth image processing, but also a new algorithm to increase AF performance by focusing on the subject at -5EV.

Advanced 23mm F2 lens.0 is significantly superior to the lenses used in previous X100 series cameras. It offers higher resolution and lower distortion while maintaining the same size, compatibility with WCL/TCL conversion lenses, and a built-in 4-stop ND filter.

The vastly improved X100V Hybrid Viewfinder lets photographers choose between a 0.52x Optical Viewfinder OVF or 3.69MP OLED electronic viewfinder. As with previous versions, the viewfinder can be changed by shifting the switch on the front of the body. The option to display the Electronic Rangefinder ERF as a small window in the lower right corner of the optical viewfinder is also retained.

Another new feature of the Fujifilm X100V is the tilting LCD touch screen, which allows for greater freedom in framing and operating the camera. The new screen measures 3 inches diagonally and 1.62MP resolution.

The Fujifilm X100V offers a variety of video shooting options. The camera allows you to record 10-minute video at a maximum speed of 30 f s. in DCI 4K 4096×2160 or UHD 4K 3840×2160 format or 15-minute videos at a maximum speed of 60 fps in 2K 2048×1080 or FullHD 1920×1080 format. It also shoots at 120 fps at high speed. FHD format to create a slow motion effect – in this case the duration of the video is limited to 6 minutes. Videographers who need maximum color fidelity can record 10-bit color 4:2:2 through the HDMI port and use film simulation modes such as ETERNA. You can also use various shooting modes such as “monochrome color” and Color Chrome.

Built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi modules allow you to transfer images to mobile devices or use these devices to remotely control the camera. Connectors include USB Type-C, microHDMI and an external microphone input. The Fujifilm X100V is powered by the NP-W126S, which can take 350 photos with the electronic viewfinder EVF or 450 with the optical viewfinder OVF .

Price and availability

The Fujifilm X100V will be available from the end of February 2020. The camera is priced at 102999 Dollars in the American market.
