Fujifilm announces the FUJIFILM X-A2. Featuring superb color reproduction, enhanced autofocus and high resolution, the X-A2 makes it even easier for photographers to achieve the image quality that has become synonymous with the Fujifilm X-series.

The X-A2 offers such new functions as Eye Detection AF eye detection AF , Auto Macro AF and Multi-Target “MULTI AF”, which enables fast and accurate autofocus. This model is the first to feature a 175-degree tiltable LCD screen that makes it easy to take selfies, and the included XC16-50mm F3 lens.5-5.6 OIS II offers a best-in-class working distance of 15 cm about 7 cm from the edge of the lens for macro photography.

3 X-A2 is the first X series model to incorporate a 175° tilt LCD screen for taking quality self-portraits selfies .
Turning the LCD screen 175° activates Eye Detection AF, which automatically focuses on the subject’s eyes. So you can take self-portraits in the quality you’d expect from the X series, with smooth, soft skin tones.
4 New kit lenses with a minimum working distance of 15 cm for macro photography
Fujifilm has developed two new kit lenses, the XC16-50mm F3.5-5.6 OIS II and XC50-230mm F4.5-6.7 OIS II with improved design and performance.XC16-50mm F3.5-5.6 OIS II has a minimum working distance of 15 cm about 7 cm from the edge of the lens *2 – it’s best-in-class value for impressive close-up shots. XC50-230mm F4.5-6.7 OIS II has an optical image stabilization function with an approximate efficiency of 3.5*3 steps, which makes it easier to shoot telephoto without a tripod and at night.
5 Unique “CLASSIC CHROME” film simulation mode
Fujifilm’s latest film simulation mode “CLASSIC CHROME”. Its enhanced color depth and rich tones enhance color saturation. Classic Chrome is very popular and great for when photography is about telling a story.

Eye-detecting autofocus, macro autofocus and multi-point autofocus modes let you select the best focus for each subject, with an AF time lag of 0.05 sec, 0.4 sec between shots*4 sec. and a delay before the first shot of 0.5*5 A section so small that you’ll never miss an important shot.
Two dials – now you can adjust aperture, shutter speed and exposure with just one thumb. Frequently used functions such as white balance, continuous shooting and self-timer can be assigned to separate buttons, eliminating the need to navigate between menu screens.

3 The high-resolution 175-angle LCD screen lets you take interesting shots from a variety of angles
The camera features a bright, high-resolution 920,000-dot 3-inch LCD screen with an angle of up to 175°. This is useful for capturing children and pets from a lower angle, for photographing large crowds of people or obstacles from a higher angle, and for taking self-portraits.
When the LCD screen is fully open, the camera enters auto-focus mode with eye detection, helping you take quality selfies.
4 Smart flash with auto brightness adjustment depending on shooting conditions
Intelligent flash built-in flash dims according to the scene. When shooting portraits indoors in low light, small objects or food, the flash dims, preventing the appearance of harsh borders. The result is images that look exactly as your eyes see them. Natural color and brightness are also achieved in backlit scenes or when photographing someone in full sunlight with their face in deep shade.
5 Wide range of shooting modes: film simulation, advanced filters and multiple exposures
The X-A2’s unique film simulation modes are based on Fujifilm’s rich experience in film development and manufacturing going back more than 80 years. You can choose from six options: the realistic colors of PROVIA standard , the vibrant hues and saturated colors of Velvia saturated , the soft tones of ASTIA soft or the saturated colors and soft shades of CLASSIC CHROME.
