Fujifilm has announced the X-T30, a new mirrorless APS-C sized camera to join the X Series lineup. Other additional features include an AF joystick for easy shifting of the focus point and a new touch panel display with improved response.
Key features
The autofocus algorithm has been improved over that used in the FUJIFILM X-T3 to achieve even greater tracking accuracy in autofocus mode. This includes improved accuracy of face/eye recognition and the introduction of face selection to ensure priority autofocus on the selected subject.
The lowest standard ISO range of 160, previously only available as an extended ISO range, is now available for RAW shooting.
The X-T30 features advanced 4K/30P video recording, high-resolution audio recording, and eye tracking during video recording.
The X-T30 records raw video at 6K 6240×3510 to create stunning quality in 4K 3810×2160 . The camera also supports DCI 17:9 format, which gives your movies an even more cinematic look.
Film simulation modes can be used not only when shooting photos, but also during video recording, including “ETERNA” film.
4K/30P video can be recorded at 4:2:0 8 bit on an SD card. F-log and 4:2:2 10 bit recording via HDMI port means the camera can record video suitable for more serious videographers.
The compact and lightweight camera body weighs only 383g. Using the AF joystick to replace the selector buttons.
LCD display is 1.3mm thinner and able to provide a more accurate touch screen response.
The X-T30 is available in popular black, premium silver and a new color, charcoal silver. The charcoal-silver color will be released in May, two months after the black and silver colors.
The camera is compatible with FUJIFILM X-T10/X-T20 accessories: MHG-XT10, BLC-XT10
