Fujifilm unveiled the new Fujinon 100-200mm F5 telephoto lens.6 for the medium-format GFX series of cameras. The new telephoto lens combines high quality optical elements with a rugged, moisture- and dust-resistant body. Designed for the outdoorsman, the lens is ideal for landscapes, travel and wildlife.
The lens features 20 elements in 13 groups, including two ultra-low dispersion glass lens elements and one aspherical lens element to reduce chromatic aberrations and field curvature aberrations. Equipped with superior image stabilization that compensates for 5 exposures, the lens allows photographers to make the most of the GFX’s high resolution even without using a tripod.
The new lens uses a linear motor that delivers silent, precise and high-speed autofocus, as well as an advanced locking mechanism that locks the motor when the camera is turned off. The lens is also compatible with the GF1.4X TC WR, extending the focal range up to 140-280mm equivalent to 111-221mm in 35mm format without compromising image quality. The lens body is made of magnesium alloy and is protected against moisture and dust at ten points, allowing you to shoot in harsh weather conditions
