Fujifilm’s version of the rugged compact doesn’t show extraordinary advances in the field of integrating sophisticated electronics into an armored body. However, it has all the capabilities a modern camera needs and yet isn’t afraid of the threatening outdoors.

14.4 MP 28-140 5x 2.7″ $300

The FinePix XP150 can be safely submerged in water to a depth of 10 meters, dropped, cooled and of course, tossed in dust and sand. The photographic capabilities of the device at the same time are not much inferior to the average “compact” level. 14-megapixel CMOS sensor produces detailed images at sensitivities up to 3200 ISO. Wide-angle lens with 5x zoom image stabilization by moving sensor suspension . The camera has advanced smart-shooting features, effects and an uncomplicated editing mode. And a built-in GPS receiver supplements photos with geographical coordinates of the shooting location. The only apparent limitation – not a large display with a diagonal of only 2.7 inches and a resolution of 230 thousand. points.
