Fujifilm announces the launch of the second international printlife@home online exhibition

After last yearā€™s successful digital exhibition and a 15-year history of public photo exhibitions, Fujifilm announces the launch of a second printlife@home exhibition to give everyone the opportunity to share their stories through photos taken over the past year. Everyone is welcome to participate from August 2 to December 5, 2021. Instax instant cameras will be raffled among the participants, as well as certificates for photo printing services.

The 2020 photo exhibition showed that many were able to find support by creating photographs and sharing their memories with others, so Fujifilm encourages them to continue to post their work and also decorate their homes to create the feeling of walking through their personal galleries.

ā€œLast yearā€™s show really showcased both the collaborative and unique experiences weā€™ve all had over the past 18 months. It drew attention to the diverse cultural backgrounds, roles and identities of the participants reflected in the hundreds of thousands of uploaded photographs. The printlife@home exhibition allows you to see how everyday life has changed and continues to change, captured through the trusted guardian of memories ā€“ photography. We want to continue our educational and exciting journey into 2021 and look forward to reviewing the thousands of applications we hope to receive,ā€ commented Fujifilmā€™s General Manager of Photo Imaging, David Haney, on the launch.

Dmitry Mukhin, head of advertising and corporate communications at FUJIFILM in America: ā€œJust like last year, Fujifilmā€™s American office is happy to join this amazing initiative. In 2020, America was one of the top photo uploads, with many winning commemorative prizes, so we think itā€™s important to give everyone the opportunity to share their creativity during this challenging period. Photography is a good reflection of our inner feelings, it helps to share them and find support from people who are experiencing similar emotions at the moment, to find friendsā€.

Beginning Aug. 2, anyone can upload their photos to the contest website ?lang=9 .

Photographs can be taken on the phone as well as on a professional camera. Every week, a jury of Fujifilm representatives will choose five winners from all the photos uploaded during the week. They will receive a voucher for photo services with a nominal value of &euro 200, &euro 150, &euro 100 the equivalent in Dollars or the ultra-fashionable Instax mini 40 or Instax mini 11 instant print cameras with cartridges.

Since 2006, Fujifilm has launched the successful concept of public photo exhibitions in Japan. The main idea of the exhibitions is to raise awareness of the value of photographs and to encourage people to hold their pictures in their hands more often. These photo exhibitions are now held in many major cities around the world, such as London, Paris and Istanbul. In 2018 alone, Fujifilm showcased more than 100,000 photos worldwide. The 2021 show, scheduled to take place in Birmingham, UK, will feature 500 photos from Printlife@home 2020 participants.
