ULTRACUT FBS II concrete screw

fischer has developed the innovative ULTRACUT FBS II range of concrete screws under consideration. Thanks to its optimized geometry, the threads penetrate deeply into the base material, thus providing high load-bearing capacity. This results in lower installation costs as fewer mounting points are required. The specially developed thread geometry allows the screw to bore easily into the substrate and to be used repeatedly.

The installation of the FBS II in vertical holes in floors, ceilings, etc. does not require any additional cleaning of the holes.p. does not require additional hole cleaning, which reduces material costs and installation time. Three anchorage depths allow to use the same ULTRACUT FBS II screws for mounting of various attachment thicknesses.

ULTRACUT FBS II screws are available in several screw heads: countersunk head and hexagon head with or without bit slot . No expansion forces are generated when the screw is inserted in the base material, thus reducing the edge and axial spacing. This is important, for example, when attaching handrails, handrails to the ends of floor slabs. The screws are approved for seismicity categories C1 and C2, and meet one of the toughest fastening safety standards also in the most earthquake-prone zones .

In case of multiple use of the FBS II ULTRACUT, a special calibration sleeve must be used before each screw installation. If the screw can easily pass through the bushing, the screw thread is too worn and can no longer be used. It is also necessary to inspect the screws before mounting for visible damage e.g. corrosion and to replace them where necessary.

The ULTRACUT FBS II concrete screw is suitable for fixing a wide range of building structures:

  • Various types of railings and handrails in thin concrete bases with a thickness of 100 mm or more with a reduced anchoring depth

  • The absence of the cable tray’s impact barriers for high shear loads

  • brackets, support plates, wooden beams

  • cable trays

  • heavy pipelines.

The new generation of fischer ULTRACUT FBS II concrete screws have been available in America since September 2016.
