Granite sinks are virtually immune to food coloring and mechanical stress. Here is a crash test photo for you to see for yourself.

  1. To begin with, we used lemon, a well-known household oxidizer. Sliced it with a sharp kitchen knife right on the sink, no cutting board. Wiped with a normal sponge and as you can see, no trace is left on the surface, not even from a knife or citric acid!
  2. The same test was done with beets – the most notorious food dyestuff and pollutant of everything. Not a trace on the surface again.
  3. Red wine. Housewives’ horror. Extremely hard-to-clean stains! But Zigmund & Shtain sinks don’t care about anything – a little tap water, a simple sponge and the surface shines like new again.
  4. Hot tea and freshly brewed coffee also left no trace in the sink bowl. Despite the addition of tannins to the tea the sink again passed the test with flying colours!
  5. Tried and chemo-mechanical action. Abrasive powder. Rubbed with all your might with the hard side of a sponge. Not a mark on the surface again.
  6. Dishwashing detergent can get rid of anything.ch. and the color of some sinks. But not that Zigmund & Shtain brand, which, as you can see, doesn’t give a damn!
  7. But, that was all flowers, moving on to hard contact. We tried to drop a pan, which often happens while using kitchen sinks. There is no trace of impact on the sink, but the pan is slightly bent..
  8. Got your knife. A good knife is Swedish, not some cheap Chinese one. Dropped straight down. The sink is absolutely in one piece, but the most reliable knife has a bent tip!
  9. To be finally convinced of the innocuousness of the edge and the blade of the knife, we dared to scratch the surface of the sink with them. Only frustrated by the appearance of scratches, as it was worth wiping, and wow! Those were knife steel abrasion marks, but the sink is still intact!
  10. And finally, the death knell! We took a steel ball weighing seven hundred and sixty grams. And throwing it from a meter-high height straight into the sink. You won’t believe it, but the sink is still in one piece. That shows you that you can drop all kinds of dishes and kitchen accessories in it.
  11. To make it clear how solid the material is when making sinks, the poor thing under test was also cut in half. When working and in the resulting cuts, you can see how high quality and durable the engineering granite is.

Now you can be sure Zigmund & Shtain does not cheat when it guarantees at least twenty-five years of perfect service life of its sinks!
